Flashes Before My Eyes Novels & Stories

Orchard Flashing lights may cause epileptic seizures, and "all that jazz" could best describe the exact thing I was currently facing. Flashing lights, over and over again from nearly a hundred cameras in front of me in one of the conference rooms of my hotel, nearly blinded me. I shut my eyes briefly, turning my head and finding Iris not so far off to the side. Her eyes were on me, brimming with support of some sort. If only she could come closer, I thought to myself as I shot her a small smile.

Johnson walked out of the room after putting her to sleep. Alexandrine tried to sleep but couldn’t as flashes kept appearing in her mind. The flashes were blurry and she couldn’t quite see them. “ What was that? Why do I keep having these rather strange flashes and why do I feel as if they connected to me somehow?” She wakes up from her sleep after only a few minutes. Unable to fall back asleep, she headed to the garden where she let her thoughts aimlessly wander into the distance.

Joe is still quite surprised about the sudden change. After a while, he entered his apartment gently. 'Today was really a good day,' he emphasized. While his joy knows no bounds, he felt a vibration on his eyelid, as soon as he paid attention to it, he began to see different flashes, but this time, the flashes he saw were very bad ones. 'What's this? Why this flash?' Joe retorted, but this time the flashes he saw is a great concern to him. 'If what I saw could happen earlier, it means this would also happen!' he retorted with fear.

I dropped my head and cried until my chest hurt, as I did not know how to combat what I could not remember. And even the first time the flashes did not seem accidental. They felt like warnings.

I am dropping into an abyss of darkness, freefalling into a pit of despair. They say that your life flashes before your eyes when you stare death into the eyes…well, that is BULLSHIT. The only thing flashing in front of these eyes is the fury that I am feeling as a fire sets course from my core to every corner of my body.

Sienna's P.O.V I can hear a faint voice calling my name,it seems distant but still near. My eye lids feel heavy as I try to open them, blurry visions of people comes to view and the light was so bright. "bright light,too bright"I groan and then someone went to deem it. I rubbed my eyes to see clearly. Once my vision became clear, I saw Dean and 'Derrick? standing over me. Derrick immediately hugs me tightly, "Sienna thank God you are finally awake. You really gave me a fright there" he says to me and hugs me again.

I cursed to myself, a series of blinding flashes of light flickering in my eyes. And then blackness.

I drank him dry and felt his heart fall to dust within my very palms. Such an exchange engenders trust, I suppose. There is a slight sting as the blood comes into contact with my eyes, but I blink it quickly away. The process repeats with my other eye, and before long, my vision flashes. When I open them again, the entire club has changed, fallen into a strange haze of darkness.

Dark spots danced in front of my eyes. Then everything went black.
