Fledgling Vampires Novels & Stories

They were not expecting the news, and what’s worst was it was an unexpected predicament, something they never heard for too many years, something that they never wanted to know at all, something that they never wished to encounter. “Sorry to ask you this, archangel, but how certain are you that it is true? That a vampire is wandering around the human world when we all knew that no vampire existed already in the past thousand years,’’ Abu asked respectfully, as he opened his wings and sauntered toward Kram, bowed his head and knelt one knee before him and after few moments he lifted his eyes to Kram, serious and somewhat scary.

Her heart still yearned for the vampire and it imposed an obvious barrier to her getting home. No! She internally screamed. She did not want to desire the vampire in that way. She should have killed it before it could have killed her. “I need to get out of here.” she murmured. The breeze was drifting faster now and she could feel her body become cold. Her arms hovered over each other for warmth as she continued to walk, for sure that a path would show sooner or later. Be careful Nadia..her inner canine cowered deeper, sensing something sinister. With the scarcity of vampires in the area to tear werewolves a part, there was also a subspecies of wolves called rogues.

When they were quite a distance away,he stopped for her to catch her breath. "Are you alright?" he asked She nodded "Are those vampires?" "Yes" he answered "They're the rogues" "Rogues? They're different from the vampires?" "Yes.The rogues are less powerful. The vampires are mostly kings, queens, people of higher authority" they moved through the woods "They have ranks too.Half bloods, ancient vampires." "The ones that attacked us in the last full moon?" "Those are the vampires and some of the rogues" he replied

By his size, she was certain he could survive her feeding on him. She said nothing to Edwin or Agatha earlier, but she hadn’t found a large creature to feed on after her emergence. She’d seen a wolf, but had no idea how to catch it without getting torn by its teeth. So, she settled for a few more squirrels and a rabbit. This was why she needed to feed again so soon. Being a vampire was so new to her. It seemed everything she did was by trial and error. She said nothing to Edwin the night before, but she’d feared not being able to resist drinking his blood while he slept. More than once the enticing aroma of the rich life giving fluid taunted her senses. It was with great effort that she

He nodded and moved his arm more under her neck. "She's so small." "Not for long by the time she's two she'll look like a five-year-old." "Much like a vampire." I bit the side of my tongue and shook my head, "As an in-between, we're less than you vampires and more than the humans. She has come into her tattoos so her other half is feeling the pull." "I'd like to know what happened with Sarin." Ace said making cute faces at Noel

Luka had his first blood-control session there today. He'd been too excited to sleep the night before. When I got there, I found him curled in a corner. The UV burns had split open the skin along both his arms, the veins underneath gone dark — not the deep red of healthy vampire blood, but the ashen black of something dying. A newly awakened fledgling takes UV damage three times worse than a turned adult. He was still in the most vulnerable window of his awakening. "Mom..." He fell into my arms. Tears cut through the ash on his face.

What intrigued me most was their ranking system… According to Michael, vampires are ranked into five categories namely: Fledgling, Neonates, Ancillae, Elder and Antediluvian. * * * * * * * * * The fledglings are the newly embraced vampires within the last twenty years, still under the protection of their sire. * * * * * Michael had said that after the embracing of a mortal, the victim is considered a fledgling. The newly turned vampire must be able to stabilize the beast in him or her.

Flora could tell that the tall man came out of an underground passageway that could be connected to the main house. The tall man walked with confident steps towards the marble table and the leader stepped away before himself dropping prostrated to the floor. Slowly, the tall man lowered his face towards Eva’s neck. All of a sudden, Eva opened her eyes and she screamed as she tried to push the tall man away from her. Then, Eva closed her eyes and her hands fell away. When the tall man raised his head, Flora was shocked to see his eyes glowing red under the darkness of his hood. From his chin dripped Eva’s blood. Flora could not believe what she just saw. She placed her hand over her mouth to

“They were quite clear that they wished to meet your fledgling.” I felt a jolt at the word ‘fledgling.’ That’s what I was to them, wasn’t I? A baby vampire. Something to be inspected, judged, measured. My excitement tampered down instantly, replaced by a lot of nerves that just hit me all of a sudden. “Ian,” I whispered, tugging on his sleeve. “It’s okay. I can handle it.” He shook his head, his expression hardening. “No, you don’t have to handle anything.”

That should have been my first clue that something was very, very wrong. My vampires lay dead, some burnt to ashes, but most lay dead. Next clue, but for some reason, my brain wasn't piecing together the clues. They were lesser vamps, more than half of them fledglings. These were all warriors in training. Where had Malchi been taking fledglings without any actual warriors for protection?
