he called out, “can we get some more fries here?” I scrolled down the website, stopping by the picture of the Flair Mag’s sky scraper building in New York. I paused on it, mouse hovering over the image as looked on, imagining what it would be like to work there. Having your own glam team, trips around the world chasing even bigger stories and most importantly- a fat salary. Oh it was the dream. And I was just a story away from gracing my feet on their velvet set carpets probably imported from exotic places like Persia or Venice. The whole world would know my name and I would finally be able to interview stars without having them bolting the other direction whenever there is a subtle flash fr

her voice were full of excitement, I knew I was right, this would really make her happy. "I want you to enjoy your time here. starting tomorrow, you will have to train in the morning. this will help you in some of the agendas I planned for you." "What do you mean by train? Like exercise train? I don't work out and I-I don't know how.” I'm just not cut out for it."She rambles on, making a bunch of lame excuses. "I know you don't, but you need this. no more arguing, Fleur" my hands on her thighs now, squeezing it lightly.

Most of them chorused and the rest thanked me for volunteering to help them train. And all I did was wave and beam, telling them it's nothing. "Great, let's begin!" I shouted. I divided the trainees into smaller groups, letting the little girl to stay aside to watch, and we began the training. We started with the basics - how to load, aim, and shoot the guns. And they were so fast at learning. I couldn't be more proud of myself. "Oh! What do we have here? A slave trying to be Luna? Someone who almost got killed. Hah! What a joke!"

lifting his tally from 37 points to 63 points. This tremendous increase just in a matter of 16 days felt dreamlike to him. Every day he prayed to all the gods, to never wake him up if this was some kind of dream. But it was absolutely not. Only 18 remained from the JETs, and this was his last strand of hope. Over these two weeks, he also observed that people were more enthusiastic regarding the JETs. A Training session has become more arduous. Instructors gave frequent combat sessions, survival skills, and demonstrations. And they were all trained and tested every day. It felt like a crash course for the main examination.

After days of little to no sleep, my body launched itself into full blown hibernation and I spent the two days we were given off between sleeping and snacking on the mountain of food Megan kept me supplied with. By the end of the second day I was more than ready to face the world and get back to training. After our obligatory run around the lake, Jaydon and another man who introduces himself as Beta Suarez announce that we'll be having a special guest to our training today. Alpha Fletcher himself!

I said, offering him a seat, “We’re looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this issue.” “Perfect,” Mr. Flynn said, opening up a notebook, “Now, I’m not one to create powerpoint presentations like you young lads, so this will have to do.” His opening comment got a couple of chuckles from the room. “We need to start training our younger ones, not in complete combat, but the basics. The smells to look out for, the warning signs and basic combat. For this, I would suggest opening it up as an activity and also as a chance to be mentored by a warrior.”

This time, when Liam brought a fresh punching bag, she walked forward on her own. Flinn’s tone hardened. “Rule number one, no talking during training. You listen. You obey.” “Rule number two, no crying. Emotions get in the way.” “Rule number three, you don’t mention the boss. Ever.” “Rule number four: break a rule, and you answer to him.” Her jaw clenched. “Thirty squats. Now.” She dropped down, pulling up her sleeves as her knees met the cold floor. The air reeked of oil, rust, and danger. And then, just outside, the sound of tires screeched softly against the pavement. Someone had arrived.

Narrator As the final group of trainees emerged from the treeline, those waiting to greet them clapped and cheered in celebration. All of the competitors, warriors, and even some family members were excited to hear the final results. The leadership and refereeing members had kept the events within the forest quiet to allow the participants to tell their own tales. A great feast to celebrate the end of training would be held the next evening so everyone would have plenty of time to tell their tales and could enjoy a fine meal with family and friends.

Standing in line silently, I awaited her instructions. "Alright, guys, I want you to do sixty laps. Move those feet. Let's go," she commanded. I executed the sixty laps effortlessly. Some struggled to keep up, while others maintained pace. They were eager to impress the trainer, showcasing their commitment. After the laps, we proceeded with sit-ups, push-ups, leg lifts, and other exercises. The trainer even had us practice on a punching bag. It was exhilarating. When it was my turn to showcase my skills, I delivered. I executed kicks, punches, and even a backflip that accidentally knocked the bag off the tree. The trainer didn't show any sign of disrespect; however, she narrowed her eyes, ra

Cillian said. “Really? Well, maybe I should get Daisy on over here to tell you how I trained with the Steel Lycans. Or better yet, Ella has some pretty awesome stories of how I trained with her group to learn the tactical curriculum. Oh, I know! Wes and Preacher. Now, they have some really funny stories of my time going through their military drills and failing for months on end,” I said. “All right, I get it,” Cillian said. I had expected to hear some sort of tinge to his voice, but all I picked up on was admiration.
