Clark and Van are currently talking to their neighborhood friends who are also at the birthday party when they suddenly heard a commotion outside Clark's house. Clark, Van and all of the guests went outside to check what was going on. And much to their surprise, they saw the same creepy man at the Waldorf Reunion party. He was grabbing Bianca's arm, as he is dragging him towards his car. "Hey, what are you doing? Let her go!" Van shouted. He almost forgot how to breath because he is dead worried about Bianca. The creepy man might try to hurt her, and he won't be able to bear it.

“Strange. Overtaken by the waters?” “No. Have you ever heard of the Moonlink pack?” “Who hasn’t?” I say. “An old nursing tale used to scare young wolves.” “And what if I told you the tale was true?” I turn to gape at him and a thrill runs through me. Was he always standing so close? “I would tell you you’re ridiculous.” I say, getting back on track. He smiles, a baring of teeth really. “They are real.” He says. For the umpteenth time in only so many hours I’m shocked.

“Are you insane? We’ll be caught.” “Not if we’re careful.” His voice was steady, confident, but there was a hint of something else beneath it. Fear. I swallowed hard and nodded. I didn’t have a better plan. Slowly, we crept forward, sticking to the shadows. My heart pounded so loudly I was sure they would hear it. The creatures’ conversation continued, their voices strange and hypnotic. I forced myself to focus on Kade’s movements, matching his steps exactly. We were halfway across the cavern when one of them stopped.

Red suddenly stood up. "Trap, right." She said so we looked at her. "What if we found them earlier but we just didn't see them?" She asked so I frowned. “Illusion.” Cloud said so we looked at him. “Ice has the power to create an illusion, like an image manipulator.” Star said. “How can we find a creature if it doesn’t want to show up to us?” Shadow asked. “Signal.” Red said. "They are aware that by school is the theme of the game, right? For sure, they are also looking for us." Star said.

He then began to tell a story that Hana thought absolutely doesn't make sense. *** "Don't come out at sunset if you don't want to be kidnapped by a witch." Long ago, when her grandfather was still alive, he used to scare Hana with that sentence every time Hana come home late because she was too busy playing. The sentence that when she was more mature she considered a delusion but surprisingly actually did exist. The witch that Hana considers a fairy tale turns out to be a real creature roaming around her. Even with other creatures such as vampires and werewolves.

Ten-year-old Bree chimed as Emma looked over her shoulder worriedly. “That’s nice, sweetie. Why don’t you tell me about that mermaid story again?” “I hate that story. Can I tell the one about the wolf?” Bran chimed in. “Wolf?” Patrick asked as Brinna looked out the window and saw another animal running alongside their vehicle. “Yeah, the one that eats the girl in the red hood.” “Mommy, I don’t like that story. It is scary.” Bree snuck at the rolling landscape and saw the scary animal with sharp teeth sneering at her, so she pretended to look forward and saw her parents exchange a look.

My stomach turned with revulsion that never quite faded. "Speaking of interesting stories," Thelma said, her words slurring more noticeably now as she drained another glass.
