I collapse to the floor, completely forgetting about analyzing the photos that closely. Looking at them made me sick; now, I should have realized. I could not breathe, spots entered my vision, and my heart felt like it was going to pound out of my chest. Ace bends down and picks me up, carrying me down the hall. He sits down on the bed, holding me and stroking my back.
“Tess baby, it’s okay. Everything is okay.” He continues to stoke my back, but I can’t even open my eyes to look at him. “Breathe, deep, slow breaths.”
