The Carrero Effect

The Carrero Effect

I obey and close the gap between us smoothly. “That’s great, Mamma … Yep … Completely … Tiamo anch’io … until tomorrow then … Uhuh.” He repeats his goodbyes and hangs up, beaming at me like an excited child. “My mother has found Sophie a place to stay with a friend of the family. Someone she trusts, I trust too … Long-term foster arrangement while it goes through the legal process, then a forever home if she likes life with them.” He’s grinning at me in a way that makes me equally ecstatic for her; the Carreros work fast.

Wonderful book, great character dynamic and storyline! Every emotion was tapped into! Enjoyed the Jake POV chapters at the end. On a serious not, Emma’s deep seeded issue are more common than we realize, and the issues associated with were address in way that encouraged & informed the reader!🤩💕

Amazing book! It was long but well worth it. I even wish there was more. I loved the bonus chapters but would also love an epilogue. There was a lot of character growth and maturity for both ML and FL. Looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Would love to see Daniel spin off.

The Vampire's Opal

The Vampire's Opal

She plopped onto the seat next to him, eagerness all over her face. Claire handed the folder to Jack, who opened it enough for Marian to see as well, and she gave her computer to Mal. His eyes lit up as he scanned the presentation. Jack was the first to speak. “You want to run a foster program for Mythicals?” He looked curiously at his daughter, but once he saw the smile that graced her face, his eyes beaming with pride. “This is incredible. What made you think of this, kiddo?”

The Alpha's Pen Pal

The Alpha's Pen Pal

Until it wasn’t. My foster parents, Jack and Shirley Franklin, didn’t have any other kids in their home. Well, not anymore, at least. Their children were all grown up and moved out, so they wanted to open up their home to a child in need. A child like me. I’d been keeping my fingers crossed that this placement would last longer than the rest. It had already been almost a year since I moved there, when I was eight.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book as well as the second book but I’m also thoroughly disappointed that the author has chosen not to continue putting her books in this venue. Unfortunately, I’m unable to afford purchasing from a book store or online seller the next 2 books she’s written.

Allie is a wonderful and talented writer and author, I have so much to say but, very limited space, I love the beautiful and true life wisdom and positive tone, flow and everything this story had to offer. The only thing I can complain about is that I wish there were more chapters to read.

Chapter 1:Michael dreamed of a date with Lucy Clayton Michael's 'troubles' began when Miss Calvin moved in next door. Michael's father had died several years earlier, and Michael lived with his mother in a quiet suburban neighbourhood. The house next door had been empty for several months and it did not take too long for Michael's mother to volunteer him for the task of tidying up Miss Calvin's back yard.

THE CONTRACTUAL GIRLFRIEND: FAKE DATING MY EX FAVORITE PLAYE

Maren's pov I realized at an early age, I do not have a mom or dad. A real one. Foster homes are not easy, to live or to be happy. I was never happy. I never had luck in a good foster home despite changing foster homes about ten times before turning eighteen. Those years are not the best times of my life, No friends or a good relationship with foster parents, when Dante asked about where I am from, I felt like my whole world stopped.

Rejected and Claimed

Rejected and Claimed

They own several foster homes scattered all over Crest-Elming, where they take in poor homeless girls like me, providing us with shelter, education, and support. They take in as many homeless girls as they can, out of the streets, and put us in their privately owned foster homes where they assign various matrons and elders to care for us. In my own case, I'm not only homeless, I'm also cursed from birth. The strange mark on my body is all the telling I need. I endure Elder Felix's eyes boring into me as he reminds me for the hundredth time why I should forever be grateful to the sect. When he finally ends his long sermon on gratitude and humility and finally stops shaming me, almost an hour

Forced To Marry The Crippled Billionaire

Forced To Marry The Crippled Billionaire

How were they going to cope with her absence? "You don't have to worry about my kids. I am going to send them to a foster home so that they get adequate care. A friend of mine works over there and she assures me everything is fine. I sometimes worry about it too but she has assured me that I don't need to bother myself." I desperately wanted to believe her words but they were not coming to me. I knew that something was wrong and I desperately wanted to help her again over this freaking situation but she was not going to let me.

I tried to act like I didn’t know the answer to that giving an oblivious look. “My younger son is coming back after all this years”she explained, staring into space, obviously lost in thoughts. “That’s so good ma.I can see the cause of your bright mood” I said in a dry tone.I didn’t know what else to say,I wasn’t used to sentiments and I knew family life came with a lot of sentiments. And me not having any …what can I say..I grew up in a foster home.My foster parents saw it more as a responsibility than a passion.

The Imposter at Home

The Imposter at Home

"But didn't Mrs. Thompson just say she's a fake? How could she possibly have something that important?" My three younger stepbrothers immediately stepped in front of Rosie, anger blazing in their eyes. "What exactly are you trying to do? Not only are you impersonating our sister, you even hit our mom!" I raised an eyebrow at them. It had only been five years—had they really forgotten what I was capable of? I was just about to give each of them a slap when the unfamiliar girl, Camellia Thompson, suddenly stepped forward. Like a hen shielding her chicks, she pulled my three stepbrothers behind her. Frowning, she spoke with clear displeasure, "Why are you impersonating me? And judging by your a
