Love? He knew the dictionary version: deep affection, attachment, care. He’d seen it in movies, heard it in songs. Never felt it. Never expected to. Foster homes didn’t teach love; they taught survival. Bruises didn’t come with hugs. Scars didn’t come with apologies. The closest thing he’d ever had to affection was the rare day his caseworker remembered his birthday with a dollar-store card.

The kind of relationship that my foster parents also shared. even though they were filed from time-to-time you can see that they loved each other and then we could not live without each other no matter what happened between them and that was something that I desired everyday and I hope that it won't go that would give to me if you remind me to adjust agree for us to be this way then things would have been easier for the two of us.

It was nice to have someone there who didn’t look at me like I was a freak. I knew she was a foster kid and didn’t have many friends either, so that made me feel special that I was one of the few who were her friend. I won’t lie and say I didn’t fall in love with her, I did. I knew I had a mate out there and Rose was human so the likelihood of it being her was slim to none. But I couldn’t help but love her and feel protective of her.
