I continued, crying as I tried to open the door, but for some reason, I couldn't open it. I ran my hands on the door, trying to open it, but maybe my head was too messed up; I wasn't able to do anything, and my heart was racing even faster. The fear was high and my body seemed to be slowly losing strength. My mind was blurry, and my head felt blank. My vision became unstable, but I held on and continued trying to open the door until someone grabbed my hand from behind. My body froze, and I turned around to see Alpha Xavier, who was staring down at me.

Then he turned me to the side, still kissing me deeply, his hands cradling my head with surprising gentleness. He pulled back just enough to lick a slow stripe up my cheek. I let out a breathy laugh, which only made him do it again, and again, like a wolf marking his mate. My laughter stopped when I heard a low, rusty chuckle rumble from his chest. My eyes widened. “Caden?” I called, hope blooming in my chest. A deep grunt answered me. Two days more, Maya. Two days and you’ll have your male fully back. For now, I have other plans.
