Sweet Dreams
The library door comes into view and i smile.
It’s one of the things I love about this place, One of the few things that made it all feel real. I slow, then stop, my hand resting on the handle for just a second longer than necessary, grounding myself.
Then I open it.
I step inside and the scent of books hits me immediately. The familiar scent of paper, leather, and books as old as me even older fills the air. There were books stacked so high on shelves close to the floor to ceiling, the shelves are dark and polished, filled with the kind of collection of books that isn’t just expensive but intentional. First edition novels, hard-to-find novels and History bound in quiet authority.
