I had never thrown Joy into the freezer. On the contrary, she was the one who took me in there. Since she had framed me up far too many times, I was very cautious and had never intended to go to her birthday party. But before her party, she threw my mother’s favorite necklace into the freezer and threatened me. “If you don’t go in to get that, I’m going to destroy all of Mom’s clothes.” Because of my past experience, I was terrified of freezers.
