"Anna." Sitting up, I peer around the room to find out who is saying my name. Seeing nothing except for the shadows looming, I hurry to put my head under the covers when I hear it again. "Anna." This time it's closer and a little louder. I don't know if I imagine it, but it sounds threatening and I start to shake. I cry out, "Mom." but before she could answer or come to my aid, someone yanks the covers from my head. When I see it, I feel like I am going insane and watch in fear as Charlie with enormous sharp fangs and claws the size of bears, stands next to me.

If Nyos was slender, thin, with little muscle (ideal for a gymnast) and dressed in light and elegant clothing; Frey was the opposite, his body constitution was massive in comparison, he was about 2.20 meters tall and although he was not visible, his body seemed to overflow with muscles. When Freddy heard Larissa's voice at the door, he ran out with his little backpack. "Larissa!" He dived into Larissa's embrace and rubbed his head on her clothes, messing up his blond hair. Squatting down, Larissa combed Freddy's hair back and smiled sweetly at him. "Good morning, Freddy! Did you have a good night's sleep?" "Of course! I slept really well last night!" Freddy clung to Larissa's arm, fixing his blue eyes on her. His eyes were a carbon copy of Allen's. "I missed you so much, Larissa! Did you miss me?" Freddy asked in a wheedling tone.

He just didn't want to see it. Now, on the forty-first night, the nightmare is worse than ever. His face is turning pale. His lips are blue. In his dream, he is drowning. I can feel it—the terror radiating from his small body like heat from a furnace. His heartbeat is a drum. His breath is a thread about to snap. I want to help him. I want to wake him up. I want to flip him over. But the blanket is pulled tight. And the rule is absolute.

She started to frantically pull her hair as those screams and cries from her nightmare still echoes at the back of her head. Her breathing was frantic, finding it hard to even breathe. Her eyes started to see only darkness around her, she can barely see light. In her eyes, her surrounding is nothing but endless darkness, and that taunting laughter haunts every piece of her. "Please don't come closer!" She hid her head in between her knees cowering in fear at one corner of the bed. Her sobs disturbing the silence of the night. Her pleas and shrieks can make one's hair rises. "Mori?

I asked. “No. I’m not letting you go,” Freddie said stubbornly. His words made me snap. I stood up angrily and slammed my hand on the dining table. “What exactly do you think you are? Do you believe you’re so powerful that you can lock people up however you like?” I yelled, unable to control my anger. “You’re not just anybody. You’re my Lessie,” Freddie murmured through his lips. “I’m not your Lessie! I’m Lessie, but not yours! Stop this madness!” I shouted, feeling like my lungs might burst.
