Suddenly, there was a scratching, tapping noise on my window. I snapped my eyes up to see Freddy outside, looking at me sadly. I got up and ran to the window unlocked it and slid it up quietly wondering what on earth he was doing here. Shouldn’t he be at home? What a useful gadget, I always carry it in my bag and take it out to protect myself in case of danger, “Freddie, what are you doing here? You need to go, now!” I whisper yelled at him, shaking my head fiercely. But the stupid boy just climbed into my room through the window, closing it silently behind him.

“For some, I guess I would. Sweetheart, this is not something I would want to bring you into, but I have no other choice.” “I get that. Always trying to protect me. However, this time I think I need to know so I can help you. Something is clearly bothering you.” She said as she looked into the golden pools of his eyes, and she almost forgot why he was there. She had to shake her head, and she knew she could not get distracted by his eyes and the wonders contained in them. “This is not something that is normal, either.” He stated as he looked at her. “A nightmare.”

And before I could stop what was about to happen, Kayden charged towards Freddie and soon he had him pinned against the nearest wall. “Kayden! No..Kayden! You can’t hurt him!” I screamed but before I could get to them, Kayden punched Freddie a few times and threw him against another part of the spacious sitting room. “Freddie!” I screamed and rushed towards him. Freddie groaned in pains as I could see blood tickling from the side of his head. I heard Kayden’s footsteps behind me again and I stood up quickly. He was close to shifting into his Predator form. If I don’t stop him then Kayden would kill Freddie. I won’t let it happen even if I have to fight with my last breathe.

Taylor nodded quickly and went to pass the message. When he returned, he was just in time to see Frederic spring up from his bed like a zombie. Then, Frederic spat out a black heap of unidentified substance. Faye quickly inserted two more needles into his back. Frederic shuddered, lowered his head again, and vomited two more times. In his last vomit, he spat out an entirely black parasite, slightly bigger than a thumb. The scariest part was the parasite was still wriggling after leaving Frederic's body.

Inner Devil: ‘Girl, he's definitely dangerous, in life and in bed! There were unflattering half-sneeze, mid-eye-roll, flaring-nose, tripping-but-recovering photos of Freya—all taken back when they were still “friends.” There was one photo of her attacking a piñata when she was twelve. Another where, she was seriously conversing with the backyard tree. And then there it was... one especially tragic photo. Freya, sleeping, face-down on a table, cheek mashed against her laptop, her mouth open from exhaustion.

While Charlotte was still processing the surprise, a conversation unfolded behind her. "Go back to where you belong." "Can't I stay here?" Freddie asked. Charlotte walked out of the door and into the courtyard. Julie's face was still close to the camera. Charlotte asked, "Scoundrel? You mean Freddie?" "Yeah! He's a nasty guy! He loves to bully people! He’s a scoundrel!" Charlotte thought for a moment, not entirely surprised. Freddie appeared to be about eighteen or nineteen, so a bit of rebelliousness was normal.

Author’s POV It wasn’t freddy. It wasn’t Freddy but his own hallucination. Due to the past mental stress and exhaustion his mind was filled with the thought of freddy coming back into his life and running everything he has now. And eventually that evening he ended up being tricked by his mind which played him well.

I adopted a cat, too. Life became so peaceful that it was almost as if nothing had ever happened. Only sometimes, in the middle of the night, I would still catch that familiar scent in my dreams—the mix of cedar cologne, gunpowder, and blood. Then, I'd jolt awake.
