Karen leaned towards him, looked him in the eye through the glass wall, and softly said into the phone, "Not for long."
Adrian's eyes locked onto Karen's, a spark of intrigue igniting within them. "What do you mean?" he asked, his voice low and cautious.
Karen's smile was sly and calculating. "I have a plan, Adrian. A plan to get you out of here and help you achieve your goal."
Adrian's grip on the phone tightened, his mind racing with possibilities. "Go on."
Karen's voice was barely above a whisper. "I've been gathering resources, building connections. I can get you out of here, but you have to promise me one thing."
