Freya's POV I’ve always loved the atmosphere of classes at NYU. The lecture halls are spacious, modern, and filled with students who are just as passionate as I am. Professor Callahan, who teaches Media, Culture, and Society, is the kind of academic who’s both brilliant and insightful. His voice is confident as he explains how media shapes social perceptions. Popular culture isn’t just entertainment—it’s a social phenomenon with a profound impact on everyday life. I listened intently, jotting down key points in my notebook. But today felt different.

She also informed me about the orientation class, and I let her know I knew about it, so we both went to the lecture hall where the program will be held. We walked into the lecture hall, and I gleamed around the hall; it was large and spacious in size. We both sat down close to each other. "I guess the program will be interesting," I say as I strike up a conversation with Ella. She smirked at me before saying, "Yes, girl, I even heard one of the professors in New York City will be here to lighten us up more." Her tone came out more like a whisper; she wasn't actually whispering; she has a natural soft and low tone.

"I know everything that happens on this street." --- At 11, Maya sat on a bench near the fountain. The courtyard was busy. Students on benches. A group playing music. The guy with the hat was there, sitting on the steps, reading. She watched him. He didn't look up. Her phone buzzed. Clara: Are you coming to the lecture tonight? What time? 7. It's on the river. The parts that used to be industrial. Okay. I'll save you a seat. --- At noon, Maya stood up.

I did that one too. On Thursday I found a night class. Almost by accident, a flyer pinned to the community board in the lobby of my building, half covered by a pizza delivery menu. Business Fundamentals. NYU School of Professional Studies. Thursday evenings. Enrollment open. I stood in the lobby in my work clothes holding the flyer and thought about the notebooks. Julian’s notebooks with my handwriting in the margins. The meeting notes I’d organized. The schedules I’d built. The way I’d always understood instinctively what a room needed, what a conversation needed, what a situation needed, not because anyone taught me but because I’d spent five years paying attention to everything while nobo

My heart clenched as another memory flashed. Maybe in this city, I can learn to let go and make new memories. After all, the four were easy to be with. Aspyn can be rude and blunt but she's also soft and nice. "Oh come on, we're going out to forget about school..." Aspyn complained. They were talking about showing NYU to me. "Shut up and be nice for once." Jared retorted. I became more curious about the university. We strolled back to the car again and drove to NYU. My mouth went agape when they showed me a giant arc illuminated by lights. We were in Washington Square Park.

he said and gave a mock bow that made her laugh. She was done in some minutes, and after locking the door to her apartment, they giggled off. The road was filled with all manner of persons as they hurried to get to work. Thousand of them. The hustling and bustling in New York City were second to none. Their feet swished across the tiled road and the Blaring of horns by cars and vehicles filled the air. Monday it is. It was no different for the forty thousand students of New York University. Lucia and Jackson thronged along with the others, laughing as they went.

During the tour, Austin showed his friend a run down of NYU and the most fascinating places to be like the Washington Square park, where one could go to after a hectic day, it could either be for relaxing or to maybe just read a book or just to enjoy the view before you. “The conventions I attend are usually so dull compared to all this.” “This is relatively small. You should see the BookExpo America at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. That one is about three times the size, but for your debut, I believe this event is perfect. You’ll have a better opportunity to talk to people who are interested in your book and not just looking for freebies.”
