I haven’t got a chance to read that yet, I wanted to wait until after Axel and I spoke and than with everything that happened after we spoke, it’s just sat there. I walk over to the table and take my seat, the title in a faded gold colour getting my attention. This is a book which so many people are fighting to find, they will quite literally, kill for it! I place my hand on the front cover and pull the book open, the intense smell of the past filling my senses. The title page looking back at me, this whole event feeling so surreal. With a deep breath I turn the page, where I assumed chapter one would be looking right back at me, but it wasn’t. There was a little note from the author, which

my wolf grimaces uncomfortably. “You’re not wrong on that one,” I shudder, quickly flipping the page over. The further I delve into the book, the further deteriorations I can see to its neglected condition. I can’t help but notice the thread holding the book together has begun to fray, struggling to contain the historical accounts listed inside. Its layout subtly begins to shift the more I push on, gradually altering with each entry included allowing me to differentiate between the multiple rulers listed inside.

The book's title is 'Herbals of the Northern Ridge', and as I stare at the front cover, I wonder if it would have what I'm looking for. Opening the book, I begin flipping the pages but after a while of searching and not finding anything, I suddenly remember that it would be easier if I would go through the index page. So I close the pages I'd opened and go to look at the index page, runningy gaze over the words showing the chapter titles and content line by line. Then finally my eyes land on a chapter title which reads 'COUNTER POISEN'. Balancing the book in my left arm, I use my right index finger to trace the page of the title, seeing that it's at Page 284.

I asked, quickly diverting the topic. Her eyes sparkled in delight as she showed me the front cover of the book. "It's a new book I bought! It's about childhood friends who eventually turn into lovers. They've done everything together since they were kids, so they never really viewed each other as potential lovers. However, when they stepped into college and decided to be roommates, they started seeing each other in a different light. It's so good! And I'm at the part where the guy is finally going to propose to the girl!"

And behind it all, the suggestion of a fan, mid-spin. Franc stared at it like it might whisper back. “Feels unreal,” Yam said. Franc flipped through pages. Some with artwork. Others with Yam’s poetry. Their story—wired beginnings and all—now bound in matte finish. “I think this book breathes,” Franc said.

I opened the book and the first page made me confused and shocked at the same time. I saw the picture of a flower on the front page. "The Flower of Iris the Flower of Hope" that was written in the top of the picture. I cannot be mistaken. I know this flower or let me rephrase that I saw the picture of this flower before. What is the meaning of this?
