Everyone returned to the pack to celebrate the arrival of the future Alpha. They partied and made merry all night long. By morning, everyone was back in their human forms and went to see what the baby looked like in his human form. Except that the child refused to transform from being a wolf to be a child.

He was a force of nature, a whirlwind of destruction, and I feared that he would lose himself completely to the Red Wolf's primal instincts. I needed to find a way to help him, to bring him back from the brink of darkness. But how could I do that when I was surrounded by chaos and danger on all sides? Then, a memory from my childhood surfaced in my mind. My father had once told me stories of Silver Moon Wolves, individuals chosen by the Moon Goddess herself. They possessed a unique gift – the ability to command all the Silver Wolves. It was a power born of the moon's magic, and it was said to be the ultimate bond between wolf and human.

"I brought something that might help." She held out a book. Old leather binding, pages yellowed with age. "Found it in Doc's collection. It's about moonfire wolves. Your kind." I took it carefully. The title was in a language I didn't recognize. "Can you read it?" I asked. "Some. Doc's helping with translations." She flipped to a marked page. "Look at this." There was a drawing. A wolf surrounded by flames. And beneath it, text Luna had translated in the margins.

The worn pages calmed me, the faded ink carrying me into another world. It was a book about wolves’ history. Stories of ancient packs, battles fought under blood moons, legends of the Moon Goddess blessing chosen ones. I loved reading it, even if nobody knew I could read. They never let me go to school, but I had taught myself in secret. The book was my hidden treasure. Through it, I learned things nobody thought I should know. That the Wolf’s Crest had once chosen the strongest Lunas. That the Moon Feast was more than just food and dancing it was power, hidden under rituals. And sometimes, I wondered… if the Moon still watched us, still cared.

, remembering all the numerous times I had dragged my brother Apollo here, so he could read me the story of the first wolf. I carefully set down the old book on the wooden floor and laid down on my stomach just like I used to with my brother. I had begged our Alpha to let me take it home but it was an important book and rules can never be broken. I opened the all so familiar book and gazed down at all the intricate drawings and illustrations in it. It told the story of the moon goddess and how she created the first wolf, her first child. How she gave him a mate and blessed him with pups.

ZENDAYA We were all sitting at the dining table, celebrating the unlocking of my wolf. I was ready to be a Luna to black moon pack and Xander's mother was particularly happy. She was all over me, praising my beauty. She apologized for being mean to me earlier saying it was only because I had no wolf and they didn't want their son to make a Wolfless girl his Luna. According to her, they've worked so hard to make their pack what it was today. So they do not need a weakling to stand behind their mate.

I retrieved it and found a secluded spot to continue reading. The book described the white wolves as the first werewolves created by the moon goddess. They had extraordinary abilities to heal, control the earth, and communicate directly with the moon goddess. However, their powers made them targets of jealousy and greed.
