Giggles and laughter had her looking at them more than concentrating on her own game.
“Gently, Jamie, you don’t need to hit the ball that hard,” Jake said.
“Like this?” Jamie pulled his arms back and hit the golf ball hard, making it bounce all over the course.
Jake laughed, apologising to other people as he found Jamie’s ball. He put his hands over Jamie’s, leaning over him, and hit the ball softly. It ran straight down the path and into the hole.
“You did it!” Jamie yelled excitedly.
“No, you did it, buddy,” Jake said, a proud smile on his face.
