“Is that the reason you remove them from the pack?” Thrumming my fingers on my desk, I made an annoyed grunt and said, “Vaewolf are rogue and don't assimilate to a pack. They follow their own rules and follow their own drum beats. Now enough about them. Go train with the guards and take your pal Nathan, or go to the village bar and have a drink,” I stated. As he stood, he smiled. “So Nathan's cool because he is just a vampire and you don't want to share your good liquor.”

"I'll spend the rest of my life repaying that debt. Don't ask me to stop." Rook lounged against the wall near the door with his permanent smirk back in place. He was officially a pack member now, a status he claimed to find deeply embarrassing. "I'm a rogue," Rook had said when Kellan signed the papers. "You can't just file me into respectability." But he hadn't left. And he hadn't stopped calling Bastian "Big Bast" at every opportunity.

17. A blast Rogue's POV I turned to my left and quirked an eyebrow at Igor, 'So you were saying I'm not safe in the city!' I spoke, making sure I sounded cynical even on the link. He was enjoying the company of the bikers, who called themselves The Drifters. Not to mention that they welcomed us royally with loud hooting and some shots fired from their guns in the air. I was given a special treatment and called a king. The clubhouse's whores were plucked from the bed of whomever they were entertaining and presented to me.

Unlike how I found him unconscious and butt naked. "Why did you leave your pack, Peyton?" He questions, eyes never leaving mine. "Stepping foot into this land as an exiled wolf makes you nothing but a rogue. And we do kill rogues, or lock them up because they're never to be trusted." The lines on his forehead are furrowing as he makes this known to me.

The head rogue asks me. Holding up a single finger, I signal for them to wait until I can compose myself. Once the laughter dies down in my chest I straighten myself back up and look at the massive rogue standing before me. He, just like the other nine rogues, has a confused look on his face. "It is just his name," I gasp out between the breaths that I am using to control my laughter. "I just assumed that he would have a more intimidating name. Like Blade or Killer... But Joffrey? That couldn't be less intimidating."

I'm so grateful to the moon goddess for giving me a mate like her, even when my life isn't the perfect one. I became a rogue the moment I ran away from home. Everyone believes a rogue is someone who doesn't follow rules or does something unspeakable. No one will believe the other side of the story, a rouge is always a rogue. If a rogue tresspasses, the warriors of a pack kill them. Hence why I'm always on my best behaviour. I don't want to be treated like trash or get bullied so I avoided everyone, especially Alpha.

The Gamma and his little boy toy,” the rogue had scoffed. “EX-Gamma, you mean,” the other one chuckled. “Right. He’s no one’s gamma anymore. Just a rogue like the rest of us!”

She says, my mouth thins at the sarcasm when she says Alpha and at that Renz starts laughing. “Roxie, we are going to be best friends.” Renz starts teasing, but his teasing is directed to me. Bastard. We reach the cell where the Rogue is being held. He is chained with silver chains to the wall. I open the cell and walk in, followed by Renz and then my mate. I harden my gaze and push my aura out to the rogue. “What’s your name?” I start with the rogue. “Fuck you!” he growls.

Even Silas seemed to deflate, the fight draining out of him under his leader’s withering disapproval. Rogue turned back to me. The glacial eyes held mine. "My apologies, Mr. Reynolds," he said, the words unexpected, delivered with a stark sincerity that threw me more than any threat. "For the… unwelcome reception. And for the threats made against you and your companion. They were unauthorized and unacceptable." He gave a slight, formal nod. "My name is Rogue. I lead the Eagle Brothers. You carved the Crown of Azura. That demands a certain… respect. And a conversation."

Rogue shifted back into his skin form and put his shorts back on, smiling at me. *My name is Fergus O’Brien, and my wolf is Keltar* Rogue went down on a knee and placed a closed fist over his heart *We live to serve you my King* I wasn’t sure what to say, if I should be all noble and shit, or just brush it off because in truth I was still trying to hold back a laugh at his name. “Okay Fergus,” I drew his name out with a small chuckle and his head shot up to look at me, a scowl on his face.
