♧ Ryn’s pov ♧ His eyebrow cocked up in amusement before he snorted. He backed away before throwing his head back to let out a boisterous laugh. He found what I had uttered amusing and that fucking annoyed me. "Damn Waters you never cease to amuse me,now I would really have missed this if I had killed you." He chuckled after he was done being over dramatic with his laugh. His greenish blue eyes clashed into mine as he studied me. He hummed before turning to look at his gang members. He gave them a chilling smile, one that if I was at the receiving end I would have been rendered speechless in fright.

My eyes were enormous circles with jagged lines coming out—lightning, maybe. Underneath, in Rowan’s careful, wobbly handwriting: THE KERSED LUNA. The second panel had a moon with angry eyebrows and what I thought might be teeth. A tiny figure (me, presumably) stood under it, frowning. Panel three showed a blob with too many arms, and what I assumed was Malric’s crown, being bitten by a smaller blob with pointy teeth. Panel four was just me again, this time with a wolf tail and a baby in my arms, the angry moon now… smiling? Or having a stroke. It's hard to say.

Al asked. “Because he found mine.” “It’s too small.” “He has big head.” I bit the inside of my cheek to keep from laughing. Gabby picked up a yellow crayon and began drawing circles beside the two-dimensional version of Rafael. “Lemon tree,” she explained before anyone could ask. The intensity of their animosity struck me as absurdly comical. “What's so funny?” Raven asked, irritation evident in his tone. In response, I heard a low growl escape Ryan's throat, a clear warning for Raven to approach the conversation with more caution. I rolled my eyes at Ryan, dismissing the need for his protective stance.
