I bit my lip and sighed. "I just exist for death, I can kill but rarely do, it's very difficult to explain but I know how everyone will leave this existence except for you, I only know when you won't perish because you're my soulmate," I mumbled softly. He eyed me questionably and glanced out the window, avoiding my eyes. He exhaled harshly and leaned back against the seat. "Alright Sebastian, you're Death and my soulmate. Does that make me Life," he asked curiously. I bit my lip and chuckled, it couldn't be that simple, I highly doubted that. I side eyed him and grinned.

He stepped closer, so close I could feel the fury vibrating off him. “You’re a De Santis. A ticking bomb in my house. In my bed. And I should kill you right here.” “Then do it.” I yanked the gun from my belt and shoved it in his chest. “Do it, Alessandro. Put a bullet in me and get it over with.” He stared at me. Long. Hard. Breathing like a caged animal. Then he did the last thing I expected. He dropped his gun. “I’m already dead, Valentina,” he said. “You just haven’t figured it out yet.”

I said while still knocking hard on the door “Val! Val” still no response “Goodness gracious! This woman” I muttered as I face palmed “Alright, that's it, I'm coming in, you two better get some sheets over yourself” I said and pushed the door open “Ahh” I screamed at the sight “Val! Valeria” there, she laid naked on the floor, in a pull of her own blood My whole body trembled as I reached for her neck, to check for a pulse, there was none, Valeria was dead, the only person whom I made friends with was dead and I'm sure it was because of my Ill luck

Val lied. Tessa eyed Val playfully. "Friends don't gift friends Hermès bags," she teased. "Well, he forgot about my birthday, so it's a late gift," Val explained as she squeezed the note in her palm. Just then, Val caught a pair of eyes staring at her through the glass walls. She forced a smile at him before shifting her gaze back to her computer. Adam, the man who had tried to end her life, has just gifted her an expensive bag. A bitter laugh bubbled up in her throat. How ironic.

“That’s right, Claire. Ethan still cares about you. Just earlier, he was talking about surprising you for Valentine’s Day.” She turned to him, but her words were meant for me. “We’re all adults here. A little fun isn’t a big deal, right? Don’t take it to heart…” As she spoke, she picked up a bottle and aimed it at the scattered condoms on the floor. “Have you ever played with water balloons? They’re soft and feel just right against your skin. You should try it.” The still-warm latex pressed against my arm. My stomach lurched violently. The nausea surged up my throat, and I couldn’t hold it back—I vomited.

Valentine stared curiously. "He threw her off the tower" She added and Valentine went pale. She could imagine the poor girl screaming, falling and crashing to her death. "He got another pet. She was submissive. Very quiet. She was the only pet who never broke his rules. She lasted longer than the rest". "How long?" Valentine asked. "Two weeks. He got bored of her and stabbed her to death with a fork" She shrugged and Valentine almost choked. "He set the third on fire. I don't remember what she did to him. Tortured the fourth to death, the fifth was raped to death by soldiers and I don't remember the rest. Oh, he drowned the last one".

"I know everything. They said that she died being pierced by the fish tank's glass. It cannot be a coincidence. Were you worried my fake death would be discovered?” She hugged Camden and said with a smile, "I know Dr. Lang has never received any flowers before. I brought these red roses specially for her. I think I don't need to tell you which of our lives is more important, right, Camden?" Lynn thought Camden killed me for her. She was extremely happy about it. My bones were tensed but I couldn't let down my guard around either of them. ‎Kael let out an amused chuckle but as Kiean stood to his feet, the laughter faded into a cough.

"You'd be worse than this if you had." I groan, rub my face in my hands at something else I have no clue about and don't really want to find out. "Yeahhh," She laughs. "Let's have that conversation when you're feeling a bit less like a corpse." Pushing the existential crises aside, I press further. "Are you bonded?" Valentine's expression turns horrified. "Absolutely not, bitch. I'm a Beta." The relief in her voice is extraordinary. "Thank fuck." The last of my magic drink goes down the wrong hole and I choke.

Smith, Justin's father, said. They were all served glasses of champagne already so everyone raised their glasses and cheered. Valerie couldn't understand why they were cheering, she didn't die old and weary, she died a young woman with life in her but yet they cheered that she died a good death? How was that a good death?
