Gas, rubber, asphalt, grass, wolf, woolÉHe almost went to his knees as the dozens of scents and their meaning hit him all at once.

Head bowed, he took to breathing shallowly through his mouth as his fingers pinched his nostrils shut. Kneeling on the pavement, it took him several moments to compose himself, to gain control over the tsunami of information battering its way through. He focused on the items, one at a time. The body he could handle, even if the rub of fabric on skin felt unnatural. Fur is so much nicer.
Where did that thought come from? He never wore fur. Fur was for women.
