“I’m not sure either… It looks like a cat’s scratch. Oh, right. I discovered several white furs beneath her eye… However, they don’t feel like cat fur. They aren’t dog fur either…” Xyla took another deep breath. “What is it?” she asked earnestly. Stephen frowned deeply before thinking carefully for a few seconds. “Whatever it is, it’s not cat fur. It’s slightly thicker than cat or dog fur. Moreover, it has a shine to it… I can’t pinpoint what it is precisely. You’ll have to go to an expert to verify this for yourselves…” Xyla nodded. “Hmm… Alright. Please give the fur to me when the time comes.”

Aaron whispered. Under the heavy rain, pulsating energy coursed through every inch of me. My fur began to recede, giving way to soft, delicate skin. As the transformation progressed, the fur on my head transformed into long strands of hair that cascaded gently over my shoulders, tickling my back with a comforting sensation. My paws, which had served as limbs, retracted, giving space to human fingers and delicate hands. I ran one hand over the other, marveling at the softness of my skin.

“For real.” Kai wiggled wildly in his chair, his small hands flailing in the air. “Mommy’s gonna have the bestest nest ever!” He turned to Koa, practically vibrating with excitement. “Right, Koa?! It’s gonna be soooo soft!” Koa gasped again, his curls bouncing with the movement. “Yeah! With all the blankets! And, and—maybe even some of those fluffy feather thingies!” Kai smacked the table. “Feathers?! Mommy, can we have feathers?”

She slowly opens them and gasps with excitement. “I did it!!” She shouts, repeating herself several times while jumping up and down with glee. Her breast kept bouncing up and down, which I enjoyed of course. Her nine tails seemed to have gotten bigger as well. They stretched out enough to completely encase her entire body and possibly shield her from any attacks, from any direction. Her fur covered her body, except for her hands, feet, face, upper back, and her stomach. The purple color of her fur shined like sunlight shimmering on the surface of water.

Her midnight black fur shimmered with a sheer luster, and I could see the remnants of razor sharp feathers clinging to her body, fragments of wings that had once been strong and prideful. She stood ready on all four clawed paws, facing me with her cunning yellow eyes. She shook her fur as if to rid herself of water. As she continued to move, her fur gradually turned snow white, gleaming as pure as the first snow of winter. Her eyes shifted to an azure blue, a serene and striking color that cut through the smog of my fear.

I giggled. “Hmm,” he hummed as he thought about my statement. Then he said, “You mean, kinda like me?" He grunted. He stood up on all fours now, looming over me. He really was muscular. Tall and majestic with rich black fur like the feathers of a raven. When the light hit it from the right angle, you could see a shimmer of tiny rainbow colours along the tip, like oil-spill over the ocean. I gasped, realizing what I just did.

Reyna retorted. Honestly, Drake and I are still not sure about the fact that it has no fur, either. I had never seen any animal with our fur except for our dragons. I was surprised to find that its skin was soft and not all leathery, feeling like I was expecting. It seems to like Drake and me, but you can already tell who it belongs to. I look to the door when I hear numerous amount of voices. “How the hell are all here?” I asked.

The sparkly white fur and long tail and nails I had was gone, only to be replaced by my usual plain old black and brown fur. They gasped again.

I said to him. My body felt to the ground. Landing I looked at my hands. My paws were a covered in fur that matched my hair. It was a mixture of red inside the light brown. I shook my body allowing myself to feel my new form. I lifted my head looking in Kilian’s direction.

She whines and quickly starts getting dressed. The temperature is falling fast. It's windy. There's snow in the rain that's splattering against the window of bedroom. She shivers rubbing her arms and walks to the room's heater and turns it on. A soft sigh slips from her lips feeling cozy as the temperature starts to become warmer. She walks to the little kitchen, to make a hot cup of tea. She puts the kettle on the stove and walks back to the bed. As she was about to settle back in the blanket. She hears her phone buzzing so she picks it.
