Duncan said with a cheeky grin. The rest of the day Tad spent helping his mom around the house. There had been no word from Mark, but his conversation with Duncan had been like a healing salve. Playing chicken with himself, he decided to text Duncan at six to see if he was serious. As the time got closer, his mother began to notice his anxiety.

Duncan didn't want to believe but the solemn look on Xander's usual stiff face gave him out. " I pray he comes back soon, you're having wrinkles already." Duncan sighed looking sad while Xander just turned his face to the side like an helpless puppy. He scoffed in his mind not believing Duncan could be as dumb as he hadn't expected. " Who the hell believes such a lie?" He asked himself. A ringing sound disrupted the silence in the room and Duncan took his phone and stood up. " Be strong for Kaden, okay? I'm sure he'll be back as soon as possible." Duncan assured. " I'll be on my way now, Diana's calling and you know how hyper she could be if she's ignored." Duncan said and Xander nodded.

Duncan who was just 21 at the time was known to be a playboy. One morning, a woman showed up at the family's house. She was heavily pregnant and claimed the child was Duncan’s. He, Joshua Tate was just five years old at the time but he could still remember the look on his father’s face. For the first time, his father looked disappointed at Duncan.

*Duncan* Duncan was thoroughly enjoying everyone's reaction to his wife's ridiculously sexy outfit. She had blushed three shades of red about five times now. Duncan, Ed and Mark were all staring unabashedly at her and he was loving every second of it. He considered that for a moment. Other men were blatantly looking at his wife's nearly naked body. He shifted in his seat, adjusting his erection as it threatened to burst through his blue jeans.

Just then, Duncan's voice floated from the kitchen, calling, “Dinner’s ready!” The kids whooped and dashed off, their confusion quickly replaced by the excitement of food. I exhaled deeply, releasing a breath I didn’t know I’d been holding. Duncan appeared in the doorway, a kitchen towel draped over his hands, offering me a warm smile. I returned it, though it felt more shaky than I intended. He stepped closer, leaning in to whisper, “We’ll talk… about Gianna later, … as soon as I…find out…what she wants…”

Duncan, who had been thinking on how to get some investors before weekend, didn't waste time as he began to regale Tom with tales of how he could win his money back twice. "Others have done it. And you can do it too and join them in winning big." He said, ending on that note. "I'll keep that in mind." Tom said, confirming his suspicions that Duncan was working for Adam. "I'll keep it in mind." He repeated, stroking his fake beards. ~ Hospital

"Duncan." His name is a flame setting every nerve in my body ablaze. I've touched myself to that name. I've fantasized about it. Now Duncan Willis is inches away, his lips hovering near mine, saying his name, his warm, cinnamon breath caressing my cheeks, and his spicy cologne filling my lungs. I swallow. "Wade, carry on with the marriage, I and your mom are solidly behind you." Mr Gilbert Roberto said as he smiled gleefully and tickled Mrs Angela in a bid to make her laugh. Wade and Daisy stared at Mr Gilbert and Mrs Angela as they playfully climbed upstairs to their room. ************************************************ Three weeks later… "Wake up Daisy, today is the day."
