Blade’s POV I woke up groaning in pain as the first thing I felt was a twinge in the lower part of my back. Then the next bundle of pain came right after from my forehead and when I reached out to it, I felt a bandage around my head. The door opened and although my sight was quite blurry, I could still make out the image of Camila. She had a good scent and was in a different outfit which was a good sign that things were getting better.

An image of large trucks carrying logs ala Final Destination style popped into my mind. My curiosity got the better of me so I searched where that sound came from. Somebody might be injured and needed help. I just can't walk away from that like I didn't notice anything. I ran towards the direction where the sound of explosion came from. Just a few blocks away from me, I saw some weird vehicle-like object emitting a blue light. As I approached closer, I realized it was cube-shaped and covered in strange drawings all around. The carvings were glowing in blue. The thing was jet-black and looked metallic.

she said as she dropped the document on my table. “There have a few spotting of rogues around the borders, also the trackers have been picking different weird scents from around the boarders,” she said as I opened the documents. I flipped through the pages and frowned when I saw photos of rogues spotted at the borders. They looked like they were having rabies. “They look mentally sick,” I mumbled. “And they have a different scent combined with their normal scent,” she added and I nodded. “Thank you,” I said as I closed the book. She nodded and walked out of the office. I let out a hopeless sigh. I knew Georgiana hated me, but I didn’t know why. How can an alpha and beta not get along?

Nazir and I reach the border in the woods first. I decided it would be safer not to shift, staying in our human form for now. The border is decided by the ravine, and it's almost perfect how the set of trees doesn't grow in one line, signifying this split between the territories. According to Rheyes, going further than this is dangerous; the rogues roam these woods and communicate too well with each other. There are two big rogue packs; one is in the east, where Rheyes has done his work, and one in the west.

The rush of water calmed my frayed nerves, and once I was dressed and refreshed, I stepped out. My guards greeted me with respectful nods, which I returned absentmindedly. His response was immediate. “What’s the situation at the borders?” I asked, my tone firm. “Your Majesty, the borders are secure now,” Zod reported. “But the damages to the Red Moon Pack and the Peace Water Pack are severe. They’ve lost most of their warriors, and some maidens have been taken.”

I add. Beta Reid mind-links me assuring me the borders are secure. The changes we made earlier have cut off the attacks and helped us remove the threats. After Boyd’s threat, we call through our mind-link that all available warriors join their respective border patrol immediately. Suddenly twenty warriors left the room, heading to the borders for additional support. Just in case Boyd’s threat was beyond what we had planned for.

We need all the reinforcements we can get, Alpha." The moment the message is over, a headache slams into me with the force of a rushing train. I feel it so vividly, like an arrow has been shot through my eye. I slide out of my seat, reaching for anything that's there, but I only land on the cold floor instead.

I immediately mind linked the border guards to prepare a battle scene as fast as they could with a hope he buys it. As soon as we arrived at the northern borders I calmed down immediately. The setting my boys had created was absolutely stunning: damaged fences, fake rogue prisoners and injured pack members. Everything was perfect! I couldn't do it better myself! Even I was convinced that an attack took place a few hours ago....
