"Alpha, we have a visual on a transport. Southeast quadrant. Sending the link." Logan hissed a curse and signaled the pilot to dive. In the field, I had given up hope. I stared at the grey sky, hearing the distant, rhythmic thumping of rotors. "I'm going to break you," the rogue whispered, unbuckling his heavy belt to bind my wrists. Before the buckle could click, a shadow fell over us. A hand reached down, grabbed the rogue by the shoulder, and hurled him twenty feet across the field like a rag doll.

I got to him before the rogue circled him. My arrival between them sent the circling rogue backward because of what I was. The weight of an Alpha at full attention is confined to that even ancient rogues processed at the level of thought. The rogue stopped moving backwards and glared at me. The Rogue King's awareness behind wrong-colored eyes measuring what was in front of it. I lowered my head and looked back. Then I moved fast. My jaws closed on the rogue's throat. The rogue's legs left the ground from the impact of my momentum. We went sideways

I lost everything then I lost the only person I had left in the world. “And now she is yours. She is your mate now. Things change Logan and you need to at least give it a try. She seems nice and polite.” Flavia had not glanced at Rogue girl even once. She had no idea what Rogue girl looked like. Such pure anger railed through me and I squeezed harder, drawing from Flavia to hold it down. My wolf was clawing at me. Such pure anger poured to my own and made me act out.

Nearby, another warrior unleashed a barrage of elemental attacks, commanding the very earth beneath his paws to strike at the rogues with forceful tremors. In a decisive moment, the warrior delivered a precise strike, incapacitating her rogue adversary. Marcus, utilizing his elemental mastery, created a protective barrier that repelled the rogues attempting to breach their defenses. The scarred rogue, witnessing the faltering morale of his pack, hesitated for a brief moment. Limuel, meanwhile, locked eyes with the rogue, their silent communication conveying a profound understanding of the stakes. The beta's every movement seemed deliberate—a dance between predator and prey. He anticipated th

The rogue anticipated her move, catching her wrist mid-swing. “You still don’t get it, do you?” he snarled, his grip tightening. “This fight isn’t about survival. It’s about ascension.” “What the hell are you talking about?” Damian shouted, closing the distance with a leaping strike. The rogue released Annabel and dodged Damian’s blade with an almost inhuman speed. He spun, planting a kick into Damian’s chest that sent him sprawling. Annabel didn’t hesitate. She surged forward, driving her shoulder into the rogue’s side. The force knocked him off balance, but he recovered quickly, his claws raking across her thigh.

Seven threateningly huge Rogues had walked into the camp and they were walking straight to my warriors. They looked like the seven Rogue leaders I had described before and they radiated strength with their every stride. But they didn’t scare me. Size didn’t matter in the Werewolf games. I looked back at the Chicken Rogue and he was still smiling. “Look.” He directed my gaze back to the seven muscly Rogues. Two of my warriors were dashing towards the Rogues now but then one of the Rogues caught them and within some dreadful seconds, my warriors were thrown stiffly to the ground, blood-stained, bones fractured and maimed.

Their sneering faces turned into amusement when they saw me. “Is this what Crescent Moon has to offer?” One of the rogues mocked. “A bunch of warriors led by a woman?” “You can underestimate me all you want,” I told him . “But you won't be laughing when I rip off your throat.” One of the rogues stepped forward, grinning. “I’d like to see you try.” I lunged. My claws met with his flesh and tore through his fur. He sank into his stomach and cried in pain. I was about to finish him when another rogue attacked me from behind.

I warned, “just tell me who sent you, and I might just change my mind and only imprison you instead of bathing this soil with your blood.” I should have expected less from a rogue. They were lawless creatures. Wild and relentless. This one in front of me had no exemption. He didn’t bother to consider my offer to spare his life. He pounced quickly, aiming for the unconscious pup on the ground. And just then, we lost it. Dexter moved, fluidly and aggressively, taking a forceful strike at the rogue’s vulnerable throat. With the blinking of an eye, we clawed out his throat in a single strike.

I braced myself as another rogue lunged at me, his jaws aimed for my throat. I twisted, managing to evade his bite, and struck him hard with a swipe of my claws, sending him reeling back with a yelp. The rogue regained his footing, growling low as he prepared to attack again. But before he could make a move, Jerry lunged from the side, catching him off guard and tackling him to the ground. I watched as Jerry's teeth sank into the rogue’s shoulder, his grip unrelenting, until the rogue went limp beneath him. The remaining rogues hesitated, their snarls faltering as they took in the sight of their fallen comrades. I could sense their fear, their uncertainty. They hadn’t expected this level of

I leapt at the second rogue knocking him off of the warrior but as we rolled the rogue landed on top of me with his teeth snapping at my face. My interference allowed the warrior to counter attack and sink his fangs into the rogue's throat and rip it open, coating me with the blood. The battle was nearly over and I saw Gamma Xavier’s wolf Torch do something to one of the rogue’s that looked like the rogue was being electrocuted. The wolf dropped to the ground in a jittering, drooling heap and the remaining rogues began to run away. I started to run in their direction when Thunder, Alpha Kieran’s wolf, gave the command to stand down and I stopped.
