Marcus cast his eyes down as his shame covered him like a new winter’s coat. “ For now,Noah, please just trust me.” For a while after Noah left his room, Marcus stared up at the ceiling, feeling like the lowest form of life for lying to his best friend. How could he possibly explain to him that his dad and new girlfriend were being haunted by an ancient spirit, the same one who haunted his gran and her sister years before? “ Hello Marcus.” The voice which suddenly interrupted his thoughts, was melodious and familiar. Marcus looked to his side and by the light of the moon beaming through the window, he saw her.

We exchanged glances for a second, but I was quick to avert my gaze and I didn't even know why. They've got tattoos on their faces and arms down to their shoulders. It was in the middle of the road, the sides surrounded by a lake. The one with a bird tattoo stepped forward, his smirk wider than the rest. “Look who we have here. It's Ghost” he laughed. “The soulless dead man who is here to haunt us today. Oh, I'm getting scared” another said. They laughed, and I let them hold their peace before they ended up in misery.

The city below continued its restless hum, oblivious to the danger that lurked just above, watching and waiting. The man’s laughter died down, replaced by a smirk of satisfaction as he pulled his hood back over his head, retreating once more into the shadows. He was a ghost among the skyscrapers, a phantom of the night, and with the name *Nosce Hostem* etched into his flesh, he was ready to play the next move in his deadly game.

We remained like that for some seconds, and the coldness grew worse. With my eyes, I begged her to persevere - to hold her breath for some time so we could go undetected by the ghouls. The plan worked, and I saw the dark shadow of a ghoul pass by us. Ithra’s eyes widened when she saw the thing, and I urged her to close her eyes, using myself as an example of what she needed to do. The Ghouls had no eyes. They could only tell if you were alive by your heartbeat and breathing - two of which temporarily seized from us at the moment.

A ghoul—a smoky, semi-corporeal horror with glowing red eyes and clawed hands—materialized from the shadows and slammed into him. He grunted in pain as his back connected hard with the carriage, the breath knocked from his lungs. The cube clattered to the ground but continued its ominous pulse. The ghoul, joined by a second, shambled toward him. The mayor, witnessing this, screamed, and the few townsfolk nearby scattered.

Hunter nodded and then hugged his daughter and said “If you need us, you call we’ll come by as soon as it’s okay to leave. If you end up at the clinic, you call either way.” When she was gone Damon asked, “Who is Gambler’s Tempest?” Hunter explained briefly and Damon said eyes wide “You’re staying here at this event, over seeing if that foal is, okay? Hell, Hunter that damn foal is a miracle to begin with.” Hunter nodded and said, “You’re right but their gone now, I don’t have a ride.” Damon smiled and said “Yes, you do.”

"Yieeeeee yeah you don’t like him because he’s arrogant, he’s muscular, he has a pointed nose, he’s tall, and his lips looked so sweet. Yes Alaister you don't like him!" and with that she threw me a pillow Hahahaha. We talked about music and other kinds of stuff until Aunt Ana came with our food so we ate first. "Alaister do you believe in ghosts?" I asked Alaister, now that she was lying down in our bed. "Did you watch a horror movie last night? Then I would say that there are no ghosts and I do not believe in ghosts." Wow! It doesn't seem like she can see ghosts hmm. Yes she can see ghosts but she doesn’t want to tell to other people about that.

Mass chaos surrounded them. Alonso's men were falling to the ground one by one as Hunter glanced at his mom. She was surrounded by Draken's men in a protective shield. Hunter charged into the woods where he saw Silvia and when he got there, there was nothing. Not even her faint scent but he wasn't stupid or hallucinating. He was damn sure it was Silvia. He shifted back and wore the sweats that one of Draken's men handed him. Glaring all around he walked over to his mother while his claws disappeared along with his canines.

I remained calm, as still as a monk in deep meditation. "Shadow," I said slowly, "I have one last question for you. If those people didn't let you go, what would happen to you?" Her eyes widened in surprise, and for a brief moment, panic flashed across her face. She was caught off guard. It looked like I had guessed right again. In an instant, she charged at me. But Celeste and Howard were quick. One on each side, they grabbed her and pinned her hard against the wall. To my surprise, Helena stepped in front of me, positioning herself to block the shadow's approach.

He was trembling and on the verge of getting panic attack. Stopping the black Porsche just an inch away from him the driver gets out of the vehicle as if in a trance. "Come back to Tehran." He snarled on the face of Victor, his face purely white with an ugly black scar right on the middle of his forehead. He went to the switch board fixed to one of the pillars in the parking lot and put his finger into the socket. His body shook with passing electricity surprising Victor and he died on the spot.
