Saying Yes to Adventure

Saying Yes to Adventure

She'd have been in less of a state right now if it hadn't taken her two days to work up the courage to open it. She could still feel the way her heart rate quickened as she untied the brown craft string and gently tore at the seams of the paper. She recalled the confusion as she found herself staring at a shoebox for a pair of R.M. Williams Craftsman boots. Men's, size 10. "Peculiar...." she thought to herself as she lifted the lid of the box. Hidden under a few layers of tissue paper was a book she had never seen before. A lump formed in her throat as she inspected the cover—"Chance, Fate & Chocolate Cake: When Adventure Calls, Don't Hesitate. By Callum Buchanan." The author's name caused h

Reborn Wife Is A Revenge Genuis

Reborn Wife Is A Revenge Genuis

Book two of the ' Second Chance Séries ' ** Chapter one ; I got my Revenge In the basement laid a young woman in her late thirties, barely unconscious, on a filthy mattress. She had a jagged scar running from her left eyelid to the right side of her face. Her nose was bleeding profusely, and her face was pale. One could hardly hear the words leaving her mouth as multiple men assaulted her. It happened every day for ten years. That was how long she had been stuck, maybe. It was karma paying her for her deeds.

Happy New Month Guys!! This is romance which is part of a series but can also be read as a standalone. For those who love completing series check out Redemption's Sweet Temptation too. Feel free to drop your comments here(this page) because I won't be able to read those in the chapters.

Haven’t fully read the first book in series, started to but found this book more intriguing. Love the storyline, it would be nice if you occasionally introduced parts of the back story, but otherwise I really am enjoying the characters. I do think you went a bit overboard with amount of villans

Second Chances

Second Chances

There was a moment of silence before Blake spoke in response. "There is a high chance that it can be the possibility. Gabriel is an unpredictable immortal that in a way can be predictable if he allows himself to be." The wind picked up causing his air to ruffle with it. "For example," he said as he wrapped a hand around Nora's waist protectively. "Causing accidents on highways for his own amusement and turning humans in hopes that they'd join him."

Darkness

Darkness

Two years ago, this was a youth community center, now it's just an old abandoned building full of bullet holes and bad memories. I spot Chance almost immediately. He is staring at a spot on the ground deep in thought. I can only imagine what he is thinking so I make sure I make some noise as I walk up, I don't want to scare him and have him freak. Chance doesn't turn but he does tense up, so I know he hears me, I'm sure the bike's noise was an indication of me arriving anyways. Chance turns and glances at me before turning back and staring at the same spot on the ground. When I make it to him I can see a faint red mark at the spot he is so focused on. Blood.

Three Chances, Then Never Again

Three Chances, Then Never Again

When she hugged him, I heard her whisper, "I'm sorry, Jon. I lost you. Please give me another chance, okay?" Jonathan stiffened for a moment, then quickly put distance between them and smiled politely. "Ma'am, thank you for your donation. I hope you continue supporting charity work and help more children find their mothers." Zoey looked at Jonathan, and her eyes reddened once more. It was too little, too late. The pain she had caused would leave a lifelong scar in Jonathan's heart. And even if Jonathan could forgive her, I couldn't. After the auction, Zoey followed us to our home abroad.

Daddies Underground MC Club

Daddies Underground MC Club

They’re laughing about something, but I can feel it, Ghost’s stare on me is heavy and unrelenting. Ten minutes. That’s all it takes before Red smirks knowingly and leans in close. “It’s the dress,” she whispers, winking. I roll my eyes, but before I can answer, Ghost moves. One second I’m perched on the edge of the seat, the next I’m airborne. His arms scoop me up without warning, his grip solid like I weigh nothing at all. “Ghost!” I hiss, my hands instinctively grabbing his shoulders. He only grins at me, that wicked look in his eyes that always tells me he’s two steps ahead of my protests. “Red was right,” he murmurs, his voice low enough that only I hear. “It’s the dress. It’s fucking da

The Vault of Sin

The Vault of Sin

"I'm five minutes away. And I’m not bringing the Maybach. I’m bringing the end of the Valenti family." I dropped the phone and looked at the door. The top hinge had snapped. A hand, gloved in black leather, reached through the splintered wood, searching for the lock. I didn't hide. I didn't cry. I gripped the Red Ledger in one hand and a heavy glass decanter of scotch in the other. "Come and get it," I whispered to the door. "But you're going to have to walk through the Ghost to get to the book."

Owned By My Father's Rival

Owned By My Father's Rival

The way he had in the basement library, when he was trying to decide if he could trust me. "Ghost doesn't take money," he said. "He doesn't take favors. He takes pieces of people. Memories. Secrets. Things you can't get back." "Then we make sure we don't give him anything we can't afford to lose." --- The number on Miriam's card connected after two rings. A voice answered. Not male. Not female. Something in between. Processed through a modulator, scrambled beyond recognition. "You reached the line," the voice said. "State your business."

Memories of a wolf

Memories of a wolf

Though on instinct only, I really wish that he was fine. We tottered to a nice, warm place. The room had a table with white tablecloths on top of it, a few stools, a bunch of bookshelves, a trunk, and a cauldron. "Am...how did you know of the attack?" I looked at Chance again. "I just...I felt it," "How?" "Nature? Perhaps... I can hear the wind calling to my ears," He seemed to be expecting a different answer, but he appreciated my honesty nonetheless. Chance grinned at me, as if ready to continue the conversation, but our interaction was abruptly interrupted by the arrival of another person.
