Leo spoke from the foot of the dais. He didn't wait for my instruction. He drew the silver-alloy blade, the metal singing as it caught the amber light of the hall. He was eleven years old, his frame lean and dangerous, a predator forged in the silence of a stone Queen. His golden eyes flared, the sovereign static dancing across his knuckles. "Stay here, Mommy," Leo murmured, his voice dropping into that subsonic thunder. "I'll see if the ghost has a throat to cut."

Leo got up and went towards a couch and pulled the sheet covered on it. "What are you doing Leo?" Adi asked curiously, while the cat, unconcerned by Leo's behavior, continued eating his meal. "Do you believe in ghosts, Adi?" Leo asked. "Why are you asking this Leo? Did you see something suspicious?" Adi feared and looked around. The cat now looked at Leo and hissed. Leo looked at it and pretended to not be bothered about it. "No need to be scared Adi. I didn't see anything. Just wanted to know about your opinion." Leo asked, folding the huge sheet in two.

Leo began. I eyed him sceptically. "You've mentioned that before." "Indeed, but there's more. Someone is controlling him," Leo continued, dropping a picture on my desk. It showed a shadowy figure draped in dark robes. "He is known as Ghost." Interest flared within me as I took up the image, scrutinizing the elusive figure. "Could this be the same man who visited Aurora's grave?" I pondered aloud. "The unique thing about this man is that he has no scent. I've spoken to people who've encountered him," Leo added.

" I remembered staring down the dog I have never seen standing in front of your apartment. I remembered that I love lying down on this couch. I remembered the direction of your room even though I am not sure I have been there. I am sure that if I think deeper I will remember how your foodstuffs in your cabinets are arranged, I don't even know how I know that you have cabinets. You have to tell me why I know these things before I go insane. " Maisie sat close to Zach. " if I do tell you about it, you would think that I am crazy. " Zach froze at that.
