Gideon The Ninth Characters Novels & Stories

The trio seem to stop in front of the Prince and Princess . The aura radiating from the young couple is powerful as they stand before this young she-wolf who is showing nothing but disrespect towards the new Princess but even then the Princess holds herself with dignity , something this she-wolf could do with learning . Young Prince Gideon had arrived and stood with his brother . Gideon was a good man; he spent some time in our kingdom while he was doing his travels . He was a powerful mage , I know his mother is one hell of a Queen . I am drawn from my inner thoughts with a growl that came from the little female with Gideon . I step to the side to get a better view and that's when I see her

Gideon smiled meekly before scratching the back of his head. What in the world are they? They are like dangerous predators, with those sharp teeth. They are not human to me. “Let's take her home first.” Said the gray eyed one. My brows furrowed in confusion. “Izaac, carry the girl.” “Izaac hates girls. I will carry her!” Gideon volunteered, raising his hand in the air. Izaac is the one with the black hair and emerald eyes. He darted a glare at Gideon and moved closer to me.

He saw my Nine-Sea Giant Squid and took an interest in it, inviting me to stay for a time. "I was a master of divination, one who could glimpse the threads of fate—yet I failed to foresee my own doom. I was deceived. My mortal enemy, Orin Bloodfang, the Abyssal Ape, along with Black Monk Lysand Joss and the Skinscraper, Elijah Vaughn, tracked me down. "A brutal battle erupted. Gideon Dorne vanished in the chaos, and I was left with nothing but a shattered soul, barely clinging to existence within my dying pet, the Nine-Sea Giant Squid."

Gideon rose from the table and walked out the door without a backward glance, leaving me sitting awkwardly alone in front of the assembled group of pack members who began to talk to each other excitedly. Jessica slid into the seat across the table from me, her beautiful face wrenched into its usual arrogant expression. She leaned across the table and said, “Do you know why Gideon cares so much about this?” I ignored her, turning my head away, but I admit, my ears were perked for her following words. “Because,” she said sweetly, “He already has a Fate Mate, but the rogues captured her. Gideon loves her very much, and you’re just a nuisance to him.”

I look over to Zack, "What about school? What about his parents? He can't go back, now." Zack leans back in his chair and shakes his head, "Yeah, we need to figure a few things out," he rubs his palms together, "the good thing is, Gideon has already been assigned as his Watchman. He should be safe for the time being," he straightens up, suddenly serious, "unless he goes to the cemetery." "Who the hell is Gideon? And, why can't I go to the..." Zack clears his throat, "Gideon is one of our best Seraph Warriors and he's also been briefed on you and your family." He answers as Skylar's face drops a little.

She had no defense, no explanations. "Papa," Gideon interjected, stepping forward to place a steadying hand on their father’s shoulder. His voice was calm, though his expression was unreadable. "Don’t take it out on her. Ariadne couldn’t have known this was going to happen." Ariadne's eyes flicked to Gideon, and for a moment, their gazes met. His voice carried a tone of sympathy, but there was something in his eyes—a faint glimmer of something darker, calculated. She recognized it instantly. Gideon was playing a role, and she suspected he knew far more than he let on.

I smoothed my dark blue dress, straightened my back, and walked past the man with my eyes fixed on one person: the only one capable of making me shiver with just a look. "Carol, I want to introduce you to Gideon." I turned and saw the man stand up. I shook his hand. "Carol Gómez, a pleasure." "Likewise. Gideon Winter." Gideon was tall, though not as tall as Will, with broad shoulders and an intense gaze. He had black hair, deep blue eyes, and a small scar on his left eyebrow. "That’s enough. Let go of her hand." I smiled shyly at Will’s rudeness.

“This is Gideon. He is the next in line for the throne, and we’ve been friends since we were young. I should have mentioned him to you. Right now, he is here as a representative of his father, to see the men we captured.” Gideon gives Alpha Hunter an almost imperceptible nod. “Your mate here is quite a delight. I could not help but be taken to her. She seems... different.” He sniffs the air, and both Alpha Hunter and me stiffen. “While I am glad you kept her company while she was waiting, I think it would do you well to remember that Loraine is my mate and is off limit to anyone.” Feeling my face burn, I try to defend myself. ‘We were just talking, Alpha Hunter. Nothing else.”

That conversation would come in its own time. The reaction I hadn't expected was Gideon. He was one of the oldest active warriors in the pack, scarred in the specific way of someone who had earned every mark, with a reputation for being impossible to impress and even more impossible to move once he'd formed an opinion. He had never once, in my memory, acknowledged me as anything other than the Beta's inconvenient Omega daughter. He had not been unkind. He had simply not seen me as relevant. He was standing near the training yard gate when I came around the corner of the main building. He looked at me, and I looked at him, and I was fully prepared to walk past without incident.

Gideon By the gods, this woman was going to be a pain in my ass. I had to choose one with such a fiery temper. Nevermind her temper, she was vengeful. Spiteful. She was absolutely diabolical. She was perfect. The way she ripped his trachea straight from his throat was so masterful. The clean separation of his head from his body was going to be engraved in my memory forever. Oh, but the thing that got me the most, was watching her suck the soul from him. It made me hard just thinking about it.
