The top is completely covered of papers, crayons and colored pencils. Sketches filled the papers. "Nico..." She whispered as she approached the desk, curiosity immediately replaced amusement when she saw the first drawing showed dinosaurs. “You are so obsessed with dinosaurs.” The second sheet still contained dinosaurs. The third one, Althea stopped. Wait. Althea thought gently as she reached for another sheet. That wasn't... She picked up the page and saw several circles and circles. The sheet has drawings of hallways and measurements. No. She corrected herself as her heartbeat slowed. Not measurements. Rooms.

That evening, Hazel walked into their bedroom carrying a sketchbook. "I'm finished." Aurora accepted it. On the first page was a drawing of their family. Aurora. Darius. Hazel. And two tiny babies drawn almost exactly alike. Both of them were wearing ribbons. Aurora smiled. "Why are they both wearing ribbons?" Hazel looked confused. "Are they not supposed to?" Darius leaned over to look at the drawing. "What if they're both boys?" Hazel froze. The little girl stared at her own drawing.

That one stung. I brushed a stray curl from her cheek. “What are you drawing?” She hesitated, then flipped the page toward me. It was a sketch of three stick figures. One was tall with black hair, one with long brown hair, and one small in the middle holding both their hands. Ryan. Me. Her. My throat tightened. “That’s beautiful, Molly.” She shrugged. “I was bored.” Claire appeared in the doorway, arms crossed, that look on her face, the one that meant she’d been thinking about something serious.

He yawned, still blinking at her like an owl. Whitney’s tension cracked at the edges, yet she knelt, brushing his hair back. “I’m here now.” He nodded solemnly, as if that solved everything in the universe, he held up a folded paper from behind his back. “What’s that?” she asked. “A drawing,” he mumbled. “For you.” She unfolded it, revealing a crooked house, two boys badly drawn but smiling, and a tall woman with ridiculous silver hair that swooped like a superhero cape.

I opened my eyes and to my disappointment my sight was blurred with tears. No, Ginny, not now. But the tears continued to pool in my eyes but somehow I held them back. My eyes sought Leo. He wasn’t laughing like the others, neither was Lindsay. If anything Leo looked annoyed that I was being laughed at. But I guess that’s expected, he knows me as Ginny, the girl with the piercings, I have never been without my piercings since I turned 16.

He drops his gaze to the books beside me, I take them in my lap, jerking my hair out his hands. I go through the pages and most of the answers are okay, just not excellently described. I close the books and set them aside, picking up my sketch to add more detail to the daisy considering it's the only part of the drawing that I have full confidence is art, the rest of the drawing? I think it will earn me an A- as usual. Wait, what if the snake shades it's skin as it slithers through the skull like the daisy shaded it's petals?

Avery P.O.V I sometimes didn't understand why I drew things that didn't make sense, but I did it; it was a part of me being a witch-siren because of my mother's side. I was staring at what I drew, and I was still trying to figure out why I did this? When I was thinking about what and why I drew the beautiful girl with platinum blonde hair and the guy with Midnight blue. When I heard his voice. "Hey, sweet cheeks! Nope, it's just you!" He said, laughing. I looked at him when I saw the smile on his face, and then I looked down and started tearing out the paper. I started putting it away before he saw it.

There, he saw Ginny wearing a black t-shirt that really showed her beautiful curves, white shorts that only covered a small part of her thighs, and her hair was tied back in a ponytail, with a few strands of hair that she tucked behind her ears. Her eyes focused on the notebook she was holding, and occasionally she rebuked the ghouls who were working on arranging the items.

She hissed. Rhys smiled through the pain. "But drawing is fundamental, and yours was horrendous. I'm just stating facts." "My drawing isn't that bad." Rhys gave her an ‘are you sure?’ look, and she rolled her eyes. "You're an asshole." "Only for you," he said, smiling. But soon his smile turned into chuckles as he remembered some of her drawings. He added, "Truly horrendous." This made Hermione break into a smile, which she tried to hide but failed. "Were they really that bad?" She asked.

“But I do need to show you something.” She takes my hand and leads me to her desk. Opening a drawer, she pulls out a small stack of papers. She holds them out to me, and I take the stack. They’re children’s drawings in crayon. “I found those in Bryony’s room,” Willow explains. Our three-year-old daughter's drawing isn’t a concern. It’s the subject matter in her drawings that makes me pause. There are drawings of wolves in cages, a bloody wolf on the ground with a knife sticking out of its neck and a black sun with a smaller blue circle inside of it.
