She had made her realise her own worth in her eyes. “Eizzy, see. What I draw,” she showed the drawing pad to Eizlina. Eizlina looked towards that drawing pad where she saw Orelia had made the drawing of a man, two women and a little kid. They all were holding each other's hands.

Teddy held up his paper with a sketch of a purple dinosaur with a horn on its head. Sophie gasped. "A unicorn dinosaur? Teddy, you've changed the world." Yeah, I can't. I love kids but there's only so much I can do. Lily frustrates the hell out of me every single day but she knows just how much fun I can take. She doesn't even sketch. Lily giggled and poked the Unicorn dinosaur sketch, earning a laugh from said Teddy. Another kid with a missing front tooth shoved a drawing into Lily's hands. "This is for you. It's a house, with a cat. Do you like cats?"

It was quite good actually. “He’s a little artist in the making.” On the paper was a drawing of a a girl with dark hair, she had been given muscles, and her hair was tied in a ponytail that sat right at the top of her head, much like a unicorn horn which made me chuckle with tears still flowing. Is that really how Freddie viewed me? He saw me as this amazing, powerful superhero?

I began to hear whispers. “He doesn’t,” I heard another. “He’s only pitying the poor thing. A handsome person like him could never fall for someone as ugly as her.” Hurt by their words, I immediately walked from the cafeteria, fighting back tears. Ms. Sinclair, the visual art teacher, stopped me in the hallway. She wanted me to help her after school to organize some books.

Finally managing to step out into the light, V slowly walked over to the white crumpled objects that Siel dropped, almost sure that the reason for her grief was within those wads of paper. As he spread open the wrinkled angels, Vincent checked the drawings in red and green crayons. They were cute and colorful creations illustrating simple toddler toys and a puppy... Gifts that he would be quite happy to get for her. But what called his attention the most was one crayon sketch of a freckled-face brown-haired woman with that now-familiar smile. It was labeled, "Happy Mommy" and it was in feminine handwriting too. That drawing's smile was so contagious; he couldn't avoid grinning himself...

"The what?" Aiden proudly lifted the parchment, presenting it with a triumphant flourish. It was a masterpiece of terrible stick figures. There was a tall, blocky man with a jagged golden crown, a woman wearing an oversized silver tiara, a small blob representing a little boy, a giant black dog with six legs, a glowing stick figure surrounded by yellow loops, and a final girl drawn with aggressively angry V-shaped eyebrows. Kael let out a long, dry sigh. "Let me guess. The one with the furious eyebrows is your long-lost aunt?"

"You can look now, Ate Graziel." Graziel accepted the drawing with a warm smile. Three stick figures were drawn on the paper. One was a tall man. One was a little girl. And the last one was a woman with long hair. All three of them were holding hands. A gentle smile appeared on Graziel's face. "It's beautiful." "This is Daddy." Junie pointed at the tallest figure. "And this is me." Graziel nodded. "And this..." The little girl smiled brightly. "...is you."

"Will is a wonderful student. Bright, funny, kind to others." "But?" Louis prompted. "But... he draws a lot. In class. When he should be doing other work." I relaxed a little. "That's it? He draws?" "Not just draws." She opened a folder and pulled out several papers. "These are his drawings." We looked at them. They were... us. Our family. Me, Louis, Katie, Will. All together. But in each drawing, there was a fifth figure. A shadowy person standing slightly apart. Watching.

For a moment, the usual hardness in his expression faded as he stared at the drawings. He raised a finger and pointed at the first figure. “This one is the Luna holding Gab,” he said softly. Then he pointed to the figure beside her. “And this one… that’s you.” I stared at the rough sketches on the wall. Even with simple charcoal lines, the drawing somehow captured the protective way I always stood. “And this is Henry,” Julius continued, moving his finger to the next figure. “And these two have to be Alpha Stone and Mr. D. And this one…”

From the way she described the picture of the creature, even I felt a goosebumo creeping underneath my skin. I listened to everything she was saying and not once did I interrupted her. A black fog come out and with it....the wizard followed. He stepped forward with his staff and a glare in his eyes. "Describe the creature for me." He said immediately. Again, Lyra begins to explain. This time I took out a piece of paper and a pen. I was skillful I'm drawing and even sketching out some of the details she had described. Once I had finished drawing, I turned the paper around and showed it to the wizard.
