The other one

The other one

He bluntly replied, no pity in his voice. Why would he care? Why should I even believe his words? "You lie." I spat, banging the table to ease my rage. Frank gave his card to the seer who magically brought a POS and swiped taking what he wanted. I was still finding everything hard to believe. "Wait!" I said as something came to me. "This book was given to Kristy two days ago. Why wouldn't it be hers?" "When you give something out girl, you lose—ownership." The seer answered, bored. And the question of the day came back. Who was Kristy?

One Nightstand With My Ex's Uncle

One Nightstand With My Ex's Uncle

“I’m saying I’m ready to take back all the things you took from me. Every single thing.” Including Emily. Even if he didn’t say it out loud, I knew. From his pocket, he took out a little book. “I’m more of a reader, so you know, there’s this interesting thing.” He said, folding a page, and throwing the book to me. I caught it, and opened the book, unfolding the folded page.

From the start this author excites us with this awesome book. I love how authors connects with their readers and this book did exactly that. Yes, there are plots but this author knows where to draw the line and don’t let it dragged. This book is a ten star and one of my favourite. Def read again!

It’s a great Novel. I really loved Marcus and Martina’s stories of them all. Please try to include little updates of their life too in further episodes as the story progresses with other brothers. Marcus’s character is well written since the beginning and a very likable character amongst others.

He Wants Me More After Divorce

He Wants Me More After Divorce

He sat down across from me and put his hands flat on the table, palms down, because they had to be. “Hey,” I said. “Hey.” “I brought the McCarthy. They kept it.” “Paperback rule.” “Yeah.” “Sorry. I should have told you.” “It’s fine. I’ve got the joinery book.” I slid it across. He took it. He rested his palm flat on the cover for a second. “Thank you,” he said quietly. “It’s a book.” “Yeah.” “You don’t have to thank me for a book.” “I’m going to.”

His Holiday Prohibition

His Holiday Prohibition

The power dynamic was always there, even when we were just exchanging gifts. Especially then. He held the box out. I took it. It was heavier than it looked. My hands were shaking slightly as I tore the paper. It was a book. I stared at the cover. "Advanced Strategic Economics: Global Markets Edition." I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. A textbook. Of course. It was a joke, or maybe a reminder of my place. I was a King Scholarship student. He was the CEO. The patio door burst open, and Chloe ran back in, covered in snowflakes, shivering but smiling.

My secret obsession with a high king God.

My secret obsession with a high king God.

I said as I flipped through more of the pages from the section we are suppose to be looking at. Blake cleared his throat and pulled out his book from thin air. "Here how about you take mine." He offered with a soft smile. It took a second to look at the book he offered and back up at him to figure out if he was serious or not. "You do know that taking your book won't make it easier. Unless you have the answers in there." I stated with a huge smile. Blake's blank Expression had me frowning. "Why offer your book if it doesn't have the answers in it. I mean they are the same." I sighed as I skimmed through the chapter that I was struggling with forever.

FROM HIS SILENT WIFE TO HIS GREATEST REGRET

FROM HIS SILENT WIFE TO HIS GREATEST REGRET

He just set the mug down and sat beside me. “You’re thinking about quitting,” he said. Not a question. “No,” I said. “I’m thinking about why I can’t.” He took my hand. “Because you know what it feels like to not have a pocket for your fear. And now you can give them one.” I leaned into him. “What if I run out of things to give?” “You won’t,” he said. “Because every time you give, you get more back. Look at Lily. Look at that boy’s letter. Look at me. We’re your proof.”

Becoming the bad boy's pet

Becoming the bad boy's pet

Her eyes lit up dreamily and I chuckled. "Giving what?" "Sorry. I forget that you're new here. When they say something is giving, it means the feeling you get from it. Or a situation you can liken it to." She dragged her woolen cardigan to cover more of her hand before adding, "like your name for example, most harlequin romance novels use them in their mafia series."

The Revenge of the Mute Wife

The Revenge of the Mute Wife

"Do what you want, but first, give me my things." "What things?" "Don't play dumb. Give me my clothes and everything else I left in the apartment." "I think you're mistaken. There was nothing of yours in the apartment." "What…?" "Everything there was bought by me or with my money, so they’re mine." "You can't take them from me! You gave them to me!" "I gave it to the person who was my savior, and since that's not you, it's only logical I take back all those gifts, don't you think?" he said, walking towards the elevator.

Read the comments, paid for the book, and I regret it. It’s not a bad book, it’s just boring after a bit. The conflict is easily solved and not even that interesting. I read these for the drama and conflict, so if you’re like me, and want the drama, then don’t waste your money.

Shadow In The Night: Secrets Of The Howling Heart

Shadow In The Night: Secrets Of The Howling Heart

“But what will I get in return for giving it up?” “Huh?” I responded, thoroughly bewildered. “First I helped you find the book you lost. Now I need this book as much as you do. So, what is your offering in exchange?” he prodded. “What do you want?” I queried, tilting my head. “A nice coffee and snack,” he replied, a slight tilt to his head. I furrowed my brows, considering my options. “Okay, deal,” I agreed, reaching for the book. Yet, he retracted it.
