Giving Astarion The Book Novels & Stories

He blows at it, sending minuscule grains of dirt scattering. “Here it is.” He flips the black and white pages open in front of me, giving me a chance to peek at its contents. “The story of Astria's end, but of course from King Cyrus’ point of view,” I say, staring at the book. It looks more well-preserved compared to the one written for Grendaline, which seemed older. No magic on this one, no hidden crests or need for light works, just a plain, old textbook, a few centuries old.

"Over my dead body." I smirked at him. "As you wish. Lock him up, Caleb." "Yes, Alpha." Caleb began to move forward quickly. Xavier threw one more look in my direction but not at me, at Astrid perhaps. "I'll come back for you, my mate." Then he was running. There was only one door in and out of the library and I and my men were blocking it but I shouldn't have bothered because he ran and shifted mid-leap, breaking the biggest window in the library escaping through.

Instead, tiny points of light floated through the destruction. Stars. Actual fucking stars. At least they looked like stars. One drifted toward Astraea. She reached for it. I caught her wrist. “What did I say?” “Don’t touch.” “And?” “No strange animals.” “And?” She frowned. “No stars?” “I’m adding that one.” Kate came beside me. “Kazan.” “What?” “You can’t stop her from touching everything forever.” “I can try.” Astraea leaned down until her chin rested on top of my head.

It seemed like Aston wasn’t in the library yet, and the hatch to wherever the spiral staircase led to was shut tight, so Aria had to patiently wait for him. 'Can you believe he's delaying you?', she asked herself. It was good, she'd use his delay as another reason to be mad at him, so he'd finally back off. Aston was incredibly cunning, she'd give him that part, but at the end of the day, she was Arthur's granddaughter. If Aston was skilled at hostile, intelligent takeovers, she was skilled at burning places to the ground without anyone ever finding out it was her. She perused through the library, expecting books like 'the art of war' or equally harsh things, but surprisingly, a full shelf w

The bond tugs like a chain I don’t get to kick off. Astria catches the moment he looks at me and her smile falters for a second. “Mylmaid, Evelyn,” she explains, gesturing with a sigh. “She’s with us from the East.” Arkan hums slowly, fingers massaging his jaw. “Evelyn…” The room stills. My eyes widen as I take a step back. What is he doing?! “Come with us.” Shocked gasps rise. Say what?! Astria teeth grinds, eyes burning: “My king, perhaps Evelyn can join after she changes int….”

Jasmine asked as she pulled out her journal. “A book?” “Yeah, you know, a book.” She held up her journal in confusion. “You DO know how to read, don’t you?” There was sadness in her words as she realized that Maia most likely couldn’t read. Maia slowly shook her head no, fear starting to rise in her chest again.

This time her visitor was the Earth Kryst, Hunter Lornn. "Hunn," she greeted with blinking eyes, "You don’t have to check on me every day." “I wouldn’t be a very good older brother if I didn’t," he stated as he softly smiled down at her. From its perch on the bed, Astora squawked in greeting before resuming the task of grooming its spotted brown and white feathers. Hunter glanced over at the eagle and then noticed the full-packed bag next to it. “You’ve decided to leave as well," he stated as relief spread across his expression.

I turn my head to the sky , and I watch the stars twinkle brightly and I remember the words she had told me the night before I had left. “When ever you might find yourself feeling lonely , Sir Xavier. I want you to look the sky…” her hands slowly reaches out to the sky. We are both laying on the hay , looking at the stars and enjoying each others company – not knowing how long we are going to be apart. “ I want you to look at the stars – even if the sky looks dull and empty , search for a single star…and when you do , just know that I will be looking at it too” I feel my hand reaching out to her own. Our fingers intertwining with each other – her fingers are so soft and small compared to my

Alex thought about his future He imagined taking their child to the park and hearing the laughter and happiness in Arystyn and their child's voices. Would it be a son or a beautiful little Luna? As his hand touched the doorknob he felt an uneasiness stir within him. He entered their bedroom quickly and called her name. Arystyn babe are you asleep? She wasn't in the bed so he checked the bathroom. The water was everywhere the tap had been left running and the tub was full of water and overflowing onto the floor but Arystyn was nowhere to be found.

After reading something in that book that she couldn't stand, and she was well aware that the book was speaking to her son, Asteria tore through the pages of the book, choosing instead to consign its contents to obscurity by throwing the book to the ground and leaving the library without saying a word. Butler Arturo burst in and immediately noticed the torn pages on the floor, which he picked up and tucked away in an old drawer, thinking that it was possible that their Luna didn't enjoy the book at all. However, he didn't throw it away because he noticed Asteria's name on the first page of the book. = The use of flashbacks has come to an end. = Once she had placed the book in Amira's hands,
