Then she starts chanting more Latin. She smears whatever is left on her hands onto a rag that I didn’t see before, then places one hand on top of her head and the other on the center of her chest. She starts chanting again but is cut off by an ear piercing scream. I realize that it’s Raven. “Raven!” I call out to her as I feel Alpha Avery’s arms go around me. “No! NO!” Raven screams once again. I’m trying to fight my way out of Alpha Avery’s hold when Raven’s body starts glowing, brighter than it ever has before.
