Glow Raven Kennedy Novels & Stories

“For once in your miserable life, Raven, tell the truth. What’s wrong with your child?” Her composure shattered completely. Tears welled in her eyes, and for the first time since I’d known her, Raven Cross looked genuinely vulnerable. “I don’t know,” she admitted brokenly. “The pregnancy just… wouldn’t end. Months kept passing, and the healers said everything was fine, but it wasn’t normal. And when he was finally born, he was…” She swallowed hard. “He’s beautiful. Perfect. But sometimes, his eyes glow. Not gold like a wolf. Red. Like fire. Like something else is looking out through him.”

Silver veins of light still pulsed faintly through the dirt, stretching into the fog beyond. I looked at them and thought about her hands, how they glowed when she healed, how she used to look up at me with that faint, worried smile like she already knew she’d never stay. I swallowed hard. “Where is she?” Killian didn’t answer. His eyes were fixed on the horizon, unreadable. “She’s not dead,” Raven said finally, her voice soft but sure. “I can still feel her energy. It’s weak, but it’s there.” “Then where?” I pressed.

The night was wonderful, with a bright moon in the sky full of stars. Raven’s dress was red, with white lace covering her, together with her belly, that has seen now, because she was close to giving birth. She was stunning, and Dana could hold her tears. “Why are you crying?” Raven asked. I should be the one crying, I’m nervous like hell”, she was in front of the mirror, fixing her hair nervously. It wasn’t necessary, but she didn’t know what to do, she was too scared.

“Make yourself comfortable.” My fingers trembled as I removed my cardigan. I’d worn a loose tank top like the consultation email instructed. My stomach was a knot of nerves and something dangerously close to excitement. When the curtain parted, she emerged. Raven Black. She was even more striking in person. Tall, confident, covered in intricate blackwork tattoos that climbed her neck and disappeared beneath her tank top. Silver piercings glinted on her eyebrow, septum, and full lower lip. Her dark hair was shaved on one side, the rest falling in waves.

"I'm not leaving there without you, Raven. Whatever it takes." The absolute conviction in his voice sent both comfort and terror through her. She knew he meant every word—if this plan failed, he would burn the world down trying to save her. As evening approached, Raven found herself in the clubhouse bathroom, staring at her reflection in the cracked mirror. She'd chosen her outfit carefully—a black dress that was elegant enough for Venom's party but practical enough to fight in if necessary. The knife strapped to her thigh was hidden by the fabric, and the small communication device Ghost had given her was concealed in her jewelry.

That was his problem. My rage had cooled a little. Perhaps because of the scent in the air. I expected him to say something along the lines of, "leave the search to us." "We'll find her and bring her to you." Or to complain that I was making his pack members ask questions. Then I would invite him to try and make me leave, if he could. But he merely followed quietly behind. Most times, he stayed out of sight. Clove had done a background check on the raven weeks ago. According to that report, she lived in this city and even worked in a night club owned by the Ruby Bloodmoon.

"Alpha! Where have you been?! We have been looking for you all night!" Iron Hogan was the first to walk up to Raven when he strolled back to the Alpha's house...in Knight's clothes. Knight wore his cloth loose, and it looked even bigger on Raven. But he liked it, mostly because of the faint black tulip smell on them. Isn't black tulip the cutest flower? Raven thought as Iron grabbed him and checked his head to toe. "I'm alright, uncle Iron!" Raven chuckled at Iron, "What happened?!"

“Raven who? Man, she's bold, picking a fight at a Madrigal family's party. They're all getting tossed out for sure." “You don't know Raven? She's the one who took gold at nationals, both a shooting champion and a race car driver. Didn't think she'd show up here. Looks even better in person, honestly." “What about the one in pink? Never seen her before, and that outfit's straight out of a vintage catalog."

MARI, FOUR YEARS AGO “H oly shit.” Kennedy drops her hoe. “The witch is a cougar.” “No, she’s not. I’ve seen her wolf,” Annie says, squinting up from where she’s squatting in a furrow, patting soil around a rhubarb plant. She follows the direction of Kennedy’s gaze, and her eyes widen. “Whoa. Is that Darragh Ryan?” I freeze where I’m standing in between the handles of the red wheelbarrow. My mouth goes dry, and my heart begins to thump like a woodpecker.

No one knows who Raven is, and the fact that she was known as the killing machine made people in the assassin community assumed her to be a man. Who would have thought that he would be a she? "Now, Raven. Let me introduce you to your new team. This guy with dark blue hair will be responsible behind the scenes. He specializes in computers, and he'll be a very great help when tracking and looking for escape routes." Mr. Black gestured to the guy with a hair color close to black.
