Briar Reef Murder Mystery

Briar Reef Murder Mystery

Drawing her gun from the small of her back where she preferred to keep it, she walked slowly down the hallway, eyes moving left to right as she listened for any sound. She scanned the whole house going from room to room and found nothing. Walking back into her living room, she stood there with her brows knitted as she tried to put her finger on what was different. Then she noticed it. Her bookcase was empty, and her plantsÉ ÒWhat the hell?Ó She walked through the whole house again, noticing that more and more things were missing. Like her computer and all the files sheÕd kept in the little broom closet turned into an office.

The Mysterious and Unbelievable Game

The Mysterious and Unbelievable Game

She didn't have any close friends either and slowly as time passed she became a 27 years old who stayed at home most of the time playing on the computer or reading in her library at home. Like any other day, Su Lan was lying in bed watching her favorite drama until she received a phone call. She picked up her phone and answered only to get hollered at by her mother once again with a bunch of questions like: "when are you going to get a job", "why don't you head out", and etc. After an hour of the same routine everyday she finally managed to get off the phone call. Getting in a grumpy mood she grabbed the bag of chips next to her and saw an ad on her computer. The title of the ad was "the mys

They were also slightly discolored from the unaccustomed exposure to the light coating of frost that was blanketing the ground. I hadn’t noticed the light mist that would soon become fog until then. That had to be adding to the moisture on my body. I felt the dampness on my robe and shuddered. I needed to find warmth and a telephone. It was at that moment that I realized that I should have looked for a cell phone when I’d searched for the knife to free myself and called for help right away. The fact that I hadn’t was a clear indication that I’d been away from work too long. The Esmerelda Sleuth who prided herself for being one of the top investigators at Helmsworth Investigations, woul

Esmerelda Sleuth: The Journal (Book 4)

I did my best to take care not to scratch the leather, but when it fell into my arms, I noticed what looked like a fresh dig. Books were not as common in that era as they were in the future so I felt bad about causing damage to it. My lamenting lasted only briefly. An intense curiosity took over just as soon as I realized that it was a journal. It was not just any journal, either. This journal belonged to the late Elsbeth Sleuth. Could the deep, dark family secret be discovered within its pages? I simply had to find out. Lowering myself into a comfy nearby chair, I opened to the first page and focused on the elaborate handwriting. It took some time to familiarize myself with her dramat

BEAUTY AND THE BODYGUARD: DANGEROUS DESIRE BOOK 2

"You found the library." Zade's voice. Of course. "Yes," I said, still not looking up. "I found it." "Finding everything you need?" "Yes." Silence. I could feel him standing there, watching me. Could feel the weight of his gaze. "What are you reading?" he asked. "A book." "I can see that. What book?" I finally looked up, holding up the cover so he could see. "Murder mystery. Detective thriller. Nothing interesting." His eyes scanned the cover, then moved to my face. "You like mysteries?"

The Alpha King's Hated Mate

The Alpha King's Hated Mate

“Anyone would have missed that because it is insignificant, but not you, Haylee.” Liya was right. The book was shoved behind two giant books, and its front cover had been ripped off. I held Jodie with one arm, stretching the other to get the book off the shelf. My eyes squinted as I tried to read the words on the first page. “Cursed in Crimson: The Tale of Ancient Red Wolves,” I read under my breath. Flavia heard me and stepped towards me with about five books in her hands. She etched, “Interesting. That might help us with solving the mystery around Elder Calvin’s death.”

Hence, she put it back in its spot among other dusty books and walked to another shelf. She came across a couple of other books but she knew none of them will give her any information on what she sought after; ‘Moon Goddess' Mate’ by U. Tipper, ‘The Hybrid's special Guide’ by L. O. Klark, ‘Tribid Greed’ by Steve Reynolds, and a lot of other books.

Midnight Whispers

Midnight Whispers

I was in the middle of nowhere. I quickly noted the obvious that this was a castle. A damned castle made out of obsidian blocks! From the stonework on the outer wall and the winding black pillars this thing was massive. If I peered down closely a ravine appeared which led to nothing but darkness. It looked as though the ravine surrounded the entire building meaning the castle was standing on a slab of earth. Giving the whole shadow vibe a whole new level of scariness. My fingers sizzled with ice on the windowsill as I drummed them in thought. Where was Vivian?

Raven Hollow Mysteries: Moonbound Secrets

Raven Hollow Mysteries: Moonbound Secrets

Chamomile softened things at the edges, while earth and resin and something bitter waited underneath it all. Outside, crickets sang beneath a moonlit sky. Somewhere in the forest beyond town, an owl called. Inside, pages turned. Pens scratched across paper. And two people worked side by side, searching for answers neither could find alone. They pored over crumbling letters, faded maps, and brittle pages, following the tangled threads of an old mystery that wound through both their families. Something strange was buried in Blackwood's past, and if they could piece it together, maybe they could protect what mattered most.
