Gavin and I had been married for almost a year, but he always treated me rudely. I looked at the door, still closed as before. Maybe tonight Gavin would come home late as usual. The water on my face turned sad at the thought of the fact that tonight would pass in vain. Okay, I'm okay. Everything will be fine. Even tonight will probably be the same as the previous night; you don't have to be sad. I tried to strengthen myself. Fifteen minutes passed; I turned off the light and decided to sleep on the bed after the room lights were turned off. The 7X9 room was completely dark, apart from a little light source from the window vent.

Willow leaned on the stone slab, and the sounds got clearer by the second. She could almost hear the sound of the crackling flames as they consumed everything in a frenzy. She almost seemed to hear Grace's weak voice. The latter was uttering the same lullaby that she used to sing when she was putting her to sleep. "The sky is bright, and the moon is so high. He answered kissing the top of my head. “I felt at peace.” I moaned. “What was that you were humming?” I asked him rubbing my hands on his chest. “A lullaby that my mother use to sing to me.” he said “And I hope one day we can sing it to our children.” he added. “I would love that, whats it called?” I asked him looking up at him. “Kolybel’naya. Lullaby.” He answered. He started rubbing my back and humming the soft melody again. I closed my eyes and sleep took over once again.

Death. Not something one thinks about while taking their sleeping child up the cream carpeted stairs to their nursery. It certainly wasn’t on Margret’s mind as she walked into the room, placing Lena into the wooden crib. She draped the pink baby blanket over the infant and softly pressed a kiss to her forehead. “Goodnight my angel”, Margaret said quietly before reaching up to set the hanging mobile going. As the stars slowly turned, Brahms Lullaby played. The 35 year old brunette sighed as she gazed upon her daughter.

"Close your eyes, my little one. The night is here, and dreams will come." As the lullaby reached its gentle conclusion, Echo's eyelids fluttered, her breathing steady and calm. She had found peace in Kendrick's embrace, her cries replaced by the soft sighs of slumber. Kendrick pressed a gentle kiss on Echo's forehead, his voice filled with quiet affection. "Sleep tight, my precious angel. Your mommy loves you." He carefully placed Echo back in her crib, tucking her in with loving care. He lingered for a moment, watching her sleep, before quietly leaving the room, the lullaby still lingering in the air.

She responded extremely softly. It turned out that this girl was asleep and she was mumbling that she liked him in her dreams. "Okay." He nodded as he gripped his phone a little tighter. "I know. Goodnight Karen!" Even though he had said goodnight, he was still reluctant to hang up. He listened to her breathing until it was time to wash up and go to work. ·············· Brother Lionel sang her a lullaby, and Karen Joy fell asleep happily. Her wide smile did not leave her face at all.

I waited as she sent in another text message, accompanied by an audio file. *I'm assuming since I'm not there tonight, the kids might not be willing to go to bed quickly. So I'm sending a recording I'd just made of the lullaby I usually sang them at bedtime. Don't know if you know this but they fall asleep very fast when they hear it. :) Apologies, in advance if I crossed the line with this. Goodnight.*
