The Deal

The Deal

Mitsy smiled comfortingly. “You’ll learn.” She nodded with a secretive smile on her face before she stood up and walked towards her car. Sierra saw the sun setting in the distance and recalled a poem she’d once read, “The sun sets on days past leaving only memories of its existence, but since time began, till time shall end, the sun will rise and set again. Bittersweet, oh bittersweet is a new day’s dusk.” She wouldn’t despair over the past, instead, she would look forward to the new day with a smile, knowing that all good things come to an end to give way to better things.

The Bad Boy's Sweetheart

The Bad Boy's Sweetheart

"Dad, I love you." I sobbed as I reached my hand to touch the side of his cheek. He smiled and took my hand in his. "I love you too, princess." He simply said with sparkling eyes. He looked like an angel. "What am I supposed to do without you?" I whimpered out. He rubbed my palm to comfort me and said. "Keep playing the piano." The sorrowful trees surrounded the house blew against the wind as leaves fell from their places and the wind was ruthless. I stared at the window to the view of Michigan bare streets and the sad drifting leaves.

Thirty Days Before Goodbye

Thirty Days Before Goodbye

And in that silence; honest, terrible, the silence of a good man who will not lie, I had everything I needed. "I thought so," I said gently. I stepped back. Out of his arms. The music still playing in the empty space between us. I looked at him, at the candles, the moved furniture, the whole careful beautiful thing he'd built for tonight. And I felt the full specific sorrow of something that arrived in the wrong season. Not anger. Just sorrow, clean and complete. "Thank you," I said. "For tonight. For all of it. I mean that." I went upstairs.

Ruth Reginald
This is the kind of story that lingers in your mind long after you close the app. The story deserves far more recognition than it's getting because the author knows exactly how to keep readers emotionally hostage....️

To anyone settling for crumbs of love. I would recommend this story. Natalie proved that losing someone who never valued you isn’t a loss…it’s freedom. One of the most emotionally satisfying stories I’ve read so far. Once again I recommend reading this blockbuster story. Kudos to the author.

Sweetly Broken

Sweetly Broken

Over the years of struggling with debts that were beyond her comprehension, Indira had cut down all her ideas and fantasies about romantic feelings. But at this moment, looking at the photo of them together in the little red book, Indira somehow felt bitter at the difference in their expressions. In the photo, neither of them were smiling, she looked very quiet, while Angka looked very indifferent. If it wasn't for the red background and that the photo was pasted on the marriage book, no one would have believed that the two photos were marriage photos because they didn't look happy at all. Indira was currently thinking about the possibility that she and Angka might have been brought together

Be Gentler, Sweetheart

Be Gentler, Sweetheart

“Don’t worry... I’ll bring you back here again!” She poked my forehead and looked at me. It seemed like she was disappointed that I had not done better. “Austin was the one who broke up with you. That jerk isn’t worth your tears. “You need to move on. Don’t fixate on one person. There are plenty of fish in the sea.” Grace kept rambling for a while, but she eventually passed out. After I tucked her in, I went to the balcony and started pacing nervously. I knew that Grace was right.

Sweet Submission

Sweet Submission

"It's beautiful. Why is it called Butterfly Kisses?" The air was taken away from me, no one had asked that question before and I was adamant to answer it. But, how could I not give him the satisfaction? "Do you know where the Butterflies taste their food?" "In their feet." "Yes, you’re right. Thus, the song is about trampling someone under their feet." Yulian swung his head to the side somehow unable to comprehend the idea about the song. "But it was such a merry song." "Because there is sadness behind every merry smile." I turned my head away from him, for the rest of the night I refrained myself from talking. There was a heavy burden in my chest.

Rings of the Realms

Rings of the Realms

So he gradually skimmed through the text. "Hi. I didn't want to come over to your place because I knew you wouldn't let me in. After all the shit I've dragged you into, I honestly don't blame you. This is probably the last time you're going to hear from me in a while, but believe me, I've pulled up draft upon draft just so I can get this right. So here we go. Trevor, you stuck with me when even family wasn't there for me, and you barely knew a thing about me, but still you took me under your wing. Your bisexual, fragile wing. And for that, I'm eternally grateful. I know I'll sound like a jackass, but it was probably for the best that Morris let you go, he didn't deserve you. And you deserve

Goodbye, My Sweetheart

Goodbye, My Sweetheart

I froze for a moment. His lips curved into a bright smile as he waved at me. “Hello?” His suitcase scraped across the concrete floor, making a grating sound. It sounded like an old exhaust bellows in a rundown house that refused to retire, still stubbornly clinging to its last breath.

Our Final Goodbye

Our Final Goodbye

I looked up at the giant screen displaying wedding photos of Adrian and me and felt nothing but irony. Three messages popped up on my phone. "Iris, stop making trouble. I've already had the wedding dress cleaned and sent home. Tomorrow, you'll look beautiful wearing the wedding dress I made, and you'll marry me." "I'm calling in all the major media outlets to record this important moment of alliance between our two families." "Iris, I didn't break the promise I made when we were eighteen." Calmly, I pulled out the SIM card and tossed it out the car window. Along with it went my memories of being eighteen.
