Time moved forward, as it always did. Before long, deep winter arrived. Snow fell, blanketing the city in white. The temperature dropped below freezing. That night, after a hot shower, Jessica lay down, exhaustion weighing heavily on her. Then, her phone rang. It was her father.

Gideon was wearing casual jeans and a t-shirt while she was wearing a denim skirt and a thin sweatshirt. They strolled down the lanes of the lively city. The city of Davao was still alive even at nine o’clock at night. She let him hold her hand. She intertwined their fingers, drawing his attention. He gave her a serious look and then looked at their hands. Then, though, he didn’t say anything and just squeezed her hand. As before, she looked like a toddler next to her. She could only reach up to his chest, so when she wanted to look at his face, she had to look up.

The city lights seemed to stretch on endlessly, and I knew that my future would shine brighter than the night sky tonight. Perhaps I might yearn for a partner as time passed. However, I had no desire for love in the near future.

He asked the security guy "Yes sir, she works here". he replied and they sighed confusedly. " Gosh, we are doomed". Ryan said."what is going to happen if Big Bro finds out the girl he had that night was just a common waitress here". he added. "Get rid of the video now ". he order and it was deleted immediately. " Good". he left with Ryan. "What do we do now?" Ryan asked and then his phone rang, he saw the caller ID."big bro is calling".

… I went to the public phone booth and dialled the familiar number once again, expecting no one to pick up like before. It turned out that Joseph wasn't dead at all.

Diana looked at the fading board which marked the border of Orilon on the opposite end; a little further another board saying ‘Welcome to Everwinter' stood. From a side glance she could see Nate who looked as handsome as ever, even on a Monday morning. He whistled occasionally, trying to lighten up her mood but the witch ignored all his attempts. He would also often give her long stares, making her turn her head more on the opposite side but now her neck had started to ache.

"Brian, stay alive a little longer. I don't want to see you yet."

Andrew crouched and touched the blood, his eyes icy. "He's hurt. He won't get far." I looked at the photo and laughed. "Think you can frighten me, Everett?" I flicked my lighter, set the picture ablaze, and watched the flames dance in my reflection–icy, unyielding. "This time around, you don't stand a chance." By the next day, the story was everywhere. The city that does not sleep, moving below us, indifferent and continuous. Everything changed tonight. Everything is still changing. I held her hand in the dark and I let it. ---
