Goosebumps Book Pictures Novels & Stories

The book was about a bear and a rabbit who were trying to determine which of them could stay awake longer. He read it with the same attention he gave to surgical literature. I was at the drafting table with my back partly toward him and I kept my eyes on the page in front of me, the developmental series sketches, but I was not drawing. I was listening to Tristan Cross read a picture book about a bear and a rabbit in the specific tone he used for things that required doing correctly. After the first book he set it down and picked up the second. This one was about a small girl who was afraid of thunder and the grandmother who told her the thunder was just the sky moving furniture around.

Goosebumps prickled her skin, and she instinctively looked around, searching for the source of the laughter. "Hello?" she called out, her voice barely a whisper due to her sore throat. "Is someone there?" The laughter grew louder, echoing off the walls. Rose's heart raced as she felt a mixture of excitement and apprehension. Slowly, she unwrapped the gift box, revealing a carefully crafted wooden chest underneath. Intricate carvings adorned its surface, depicting scenes of blooming flowers and dancing figures. Curiosity piqued, Rose opened the chest, revealing a letter nestled inside. She picked it up and unfolded the paper, her eyes scanning the elegant handwriting.

He purred and then curled up to her, closing his eyes happily as he smelled her. "Hey sweetie, I was just reading to your brothers and sister." I watched as she rubbed her tummy. I walked up and looked at the three year old looking boy and four year old looking girl. I sat down next to my mommy and looked towards the book she was reading to them, finding it to have a picture of a bear on the front with letters, but I couldn't read it. The boy started to gnaw on his hands and whimpered before he rolled over onto his tummy and started to crawl away towards a couch and slipped under it. The girl watched him then squealed before she started to play with her toes, falling over onto her side then

He seemed to have known what I was going to do. "I am confiscating all your books that have anything to do with the Moon Goddess and me!" I pushed him away as he had gotten too close to me. I scampered into his chamber and right there on the table, I saw the big book. Luckily, it was opened to the page of growing wings and soaring high. I was first attracted by the drawings on the page. A lady stood beside a cliff in the first drawing and jumped into the cliff in the second drawing. In the third drawing, she had grown wings while flying back up.

Another loss for a child who'd already experienced too much loss in her short life. The thought made my stomach twist with guilt I hadn't anticipated feeling. “Isla, look at this one!” Rosie called, pulling a large picture book from the shelf. “It's about a girl who can talk to animals. Daddy reads it to me before bed sometimes but he does funny voices and it makes me laugh.” I forced myself to look away from Callum and move toward Rosie, sitting down on the floor beside her as she opened the book and started explaining the story with animated gestures and sound effects.

My fingers run along the scribble feeling how hard he must have pushed the pen into the paper. When I flip the page, my jaw falls. “Harvest Moon.” Then there is a horribly drawn picture of what I’m guessing is a red wolf. My eyes water, thinking back over what memories I’ve gained with the help of the witches. It isn’t anywhere near enough though. I need Skip, in front of me to get answers. The next few pages are somewhat nonsensical, but a puzzle I’m determined to break. I take the book back out to the living room area, where I pace the room staring at the pages.

Stuffed animals lined the shelves, their button eyes twinkling mischievously. Theo's small hands eagerly reached for a stack of picture books, their pages adorned with whimsical illustrations. Hazel's voice carried a melody of excitement and anticipation as she read aloud, bringing the characters to life. Theo's eyes widened with each turn of the page, his imagination taking flight. As the story unfolded, Hazel's voice rose and fell, painting vivid pictures in their minds. They journeyed through enchanted forests, where talking animals whispered secrets and magical beings danced in moonlit clearings. Everywhere around me was silent but I felt like someone was watching me and it made goosebumps appear on my skin. I rubbed my hands along the length of my arm to get rid of the goosebumps but they won’t go away. The eyes on me were creepy even though I could not see it or the person. It felt like something was crawling up my body and it was making me shudder in shock. I wanted to call Nathan but I didn’t want to look like a fool if they didn’t find anyone lurking around the property so I decided to shake it off as a figment of my imagination.

They climbed onto the big, soft sofa together, sinking deep into the cushions. "Okay, my loves," I said, kneeling right in front of them and tucking the blankets around their bare toes. "We are home now. The bad lady is gone. The scary day is over. What do you want to do next? You get to pick." Rosy looked at the tall bookshelf near the window. "I want my animal book," she said, her voice still a little shaky. "The one with the big pictures of the lions and the furry bears."

The books cover seemed to have been made from wood and at the top of the cover was crafted an insignia that Edward knew too well. It was their houses symbol. Edward opened the book and different insects ran out of the open pages and unto his hands. He dropped the book on his saddle and tried sweeping the insects off his body while his uncle laughed on. "It's not funny, Uncle Baton," Edward said with a frown as he flicked the last insect, one that he assumed was some kind of ant, from his hand. "I'm sorry," Baton apologized, still chuckling hard. "It's just the instant look of fear on your face when they crawled up--"
