"Please help" Goose bumps spread all over my body. I felt a pebble of warmth in my chest and I grabbed hold of that comforting feeling. He gave me a small smile and slight nod of the head. "Here read this." A book was put on my lap that looked fun. A book with a king and queen on the cover. I opened it up and a colorful drawing of a dragon and a beautiful princess was on the first page. No words were on it but it still told so much with just the one picture. The next page was even more detailed. I turned back to the first page and than to the next page again. They went together like a flip book but better. "What are you looking at?" A deep and all to familiar voice had me looking up fast. A happy sob left me when Alexander stood in front of me and helped me stand up.

What the hell is happening here? “What the fuck?” I say. Is this some kind of prank that Victor’s decided to pull? He should know that we are not in high school anymore, and this kind of behaviour is nothing but stupid. I don’t understand what this means, but I know it’s nothing good. I don’t know what to do. Should I touch the book? Should I even go near it? What if something bad happens to me if I do touch the book? The book finally stops moving, and it stays on one page. There’s an image in the book. I look hard at what’s being portrayed, and it’s the image of a beast with large horns.

Goosebumps rose along my arms and I shivered as I read the title. My fingers were tracing the gold letters on the cover when I heard the door of the library open up and a voice. “What are you doing here?”

He said before handing it over. The book was only a little larger than my palm, and the pages were so few that I frowned. Can this even be considered a book? Nevertheless, I flipped to the first page, only to see a blank space. But on the second page, I paused. It was a sketch of a black mark, very similar to the one on Lena's shoulder. There were no words written under the mark, so I flipped to the next page quickly. The next thing I saw was the mark staying in, and I furrowed my brows. On the next page, it was the same thing, and on the last page, what I saw was an enormous black wolf, having a hint of brown and white to its fur.

Look closer. Her gaze settled on a particularly weathered book tucked away near the corner. Its cover was simple, but a faint embossed design caught the light - a pair of intertwined wolves beneath a crescent moon. The image sent a shiver down her spine, and her fingers tingled as she pulled it from the shelf. She opened it carefully, the pages crackling with age. The script was ornate, the kind that took a moment to decipher, but the accompanying illustrations made her breath catch. Drawings of wolves with hollowed eyes and jagged teeth, their forms twisted and monstrous, filled the margins.

I didn't want Alexis to leave at the same time I didn't want him to hear what the seer would say to me, he seemed nervous about leaving me alone with the seer and I hated that. The first page stared back at me, blank, full of promise. Goose flicked his tail, pressing his head against my arm like he was reminding me who the real inspiration was.
