Goosebumps Scares Novels & Stories

It was so quiet and cold that I felt goosebumps. I yelped as I felt a pair of arms grabbing me from behind, holding me against their body, but before I could full-on scream, they clamped their palm over my mouth.

Dad would be in dork heaven just looking at them. The place seemed normal enough, but a feeling inside of me shook its head, urging me that it was not. Goosebumps dashed across my arms, warning me that someone was here with me. It was the same feeling I got when I felt like someone was watching me. I turned around, finding nothing. Yet, something inside of me was on edge, pushing me towards a fight or flight response. A hyperawareness of the situation took hold of me, screaming at me to find another door that led outside.

Goosebump rises over his skin, hearing a familiar voice blooming behind him. He hugs the puppy tightly as if it were enough to save him from the person behind. Fear grips his heart from each and every angle. His mind goes down the memory lane only to get stuck at the darkest memory of his life where the person behind him played a significant role. So profound is the fear that he feels numb, being unable to move his legs as if they got jellified. "Been a long time, hasn't it?" The person whispers from behind, sending waves of fear in his heart, making him shiver like a leaf in a disastrous storm.

I had just about decided I’d been stood up, when I felt him. Goosebumps rose beneath the thin material of my t-shirt, racing up my arms, and a shiver crawled down my spine; the back of my neck was tingling. I sat up straighter, my eyes peering over the wrought iron railing towards the sidewalk where I expected him to appear. So, when I heard the word, “Boo,” whispered into my ear, I nearly had a heart attack. I was so startled, I couldn’t even scream; I just jumped from the bench and whirled around.

His touch was a rare comfort in the midst of the chaos, and I found myself focusing on his presence, trying to draw strength from it. “So, what’s your go-to scary movie?” I asked, attempting to shift my focus. Just then, a menacing figure with a knife appeared in front of us, tilting its head in a grotesque manner. I instinctively recoiled, brushing against Darius’s body in the process. The figure passed us with a ghostly grace, clearly enjoying the fear it evoked. I felt a cold shiver sweep through me, and goosebumps pricked my skin, a familiar sensation reminiscent of the unsettling feeling I got before summoning a storm.

Goosebumps swell on the surface of my skin as he leans in further, close enough to brush my earlobe with the tip of his nose. “Fear.” He spits out. “Just like I can sense in you now.” I press my eyelids tighter against each other, hating how close he is to me, hating how I cannot reach for his neck and squeeze the life out of him no matter how hard I want to. “I’m not scared of you.” I bite back at him. “You are nothing for me to be scared of.” “Oh yeah?” His fingers dig into the center of my head. A loud scream rips through my throat as he drags a handful of my hair, pulling me backwards, forcing my neck to bend against the chair.

Goosebumps prickled her skin, a physical manifestation of the lingering fear that refused to release its hold on her. She swung her legs over the side of the bed, the cold floor beneath her feet sending a shiver up her spine. The world seemed dull and muted as if the nightmare had drained the vibrancy from her surroundings. The familiar objects in her room appeared distorted, their once comforting presence now unsettling and foreign. As Eve made her way to the bathroom, she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror. Her reflection appeared pale and haggard, eyes bloodshot and haunted. The lingering terror from her encounter had etched itself onto her face, leaving behind traces of fear and v

Zach and Meg screamed unanimously at the top of their voices when they saw the figure standing watching them. It felt like a horror movie where a scary ghost or doll is revealed in the blink of an eye. It gets scary when there is a little awareness of the figure, at least, one would expect something. But it gets more scary when you don't expect something and boom, you see it. Unprepared, unimagined. Maybe, vice versa. Either way, your spinal cord will freeze and the hairs in one's hair will immediately sprout followed by formation of goose bumps. That was exactly the same way Zach and Meg felt when saw Kristien.

He pointed the light upward and saw the sharp corners which lead into somewhere. It was chilly inside. Every step he made, the eerie sound of his own pace resonated around. Junhui isn’t afraid of the dark. He watched horror movies while guessing the time where and when the ghost or murderer will appear on the scene. With his heavy eyelids in front of the huge screen, he can even eat popcorn. However, now that he’s experiencing what he just watched from the screen, he felt the fear creep out of his skin. Goosebumps are the evidence of his terror.

I jerked up, letting out a long loud gasp as if I had just answered a call from the void. I swear, if I dismissed it the first time, this time it was real. So real that the hair behind my neck stood erect. Goosebumps spread across my body like wildfire. My chest rose and fell as if I was short of breath after running a marathon. No. This was fucking real. And scary. Like it called me and wanted me to answer whether I wanted to or not. Unlike before, it was loud and clear. And also..there was something about this voice.
