More aircraft debris was raining down like hail, churning the waves—Dicken pulled me along amid the chaos, agilely evading all the debris, his claws holding firmly and warmly on my wrist.
My heart was overflowing with warmth. I couldn’t resist wrapping my hands around his waist and burying my face over his body to inhale his scent. No matter how powerful the sea raged or how sore my arms were, I didn’t want to let him go—I didn’t care if he remembered who I was, I wouldn’t deny that he was my Dicken, and no external force would take him away from my side, be it space or time, natural disasters, or horrific war. Heck, so what if the apocalypse came in the next instant?
