Did the ground just opened up beneath me? I scream as I fall. "RAIN!" I scream as loud as I can, terror overriding any anger or hurt I was feeling. "RAIN, HELP ME!" "RAIN!" I scream again, my voice growing hoarse with panic. And as the circle of light above grows smaller and smaller, I realize with growing horror that I might have just fallen into something far worse than a simple pit in the ground.

Her back is facing me and I just want to pull her close and hold her. I need that. But I remain in my spot watching her back, urging myself to remain still… Then I begin to fall. I am falling deep. Deep into an endless pit. I keep falling. But what scares me most is that I don’t scream. I don’t shout. I remain mute like it’s something that happens regularly, and I just continue falling. It’s a dark hole, I can see a large fire underneath me. There is nothing to hold on to as I continue to fall.

Chapter 86 – The Abyss The ground gave way with a deafening roar, plunging the group into darkness. Jessica’s scream was swallowed by the void as she tumbled downward, her arms instinctively wrapping around her children to shield them from harm. The sensation of falling seemed endless, each second stretching into eternity as adrenaline surged through her veins. Finally, they landed—hard. Pain exploded through her body as she hit a cold, uneven surface, but it wasn’t enough to dull her senses. Around her, the others groaned and stirred, their voices muffled by the oppressive silence that followed the collapse.

“Let’s get back to your party.” I giggled, taking his hand in mine. We walked over to the door. The moment we touched the handle, the floor beneath us opened. I was weightless, falling into the unknown darkness below. I reached out for something to grasp onto as I felt Lyle’s strong arms wrap around me, pulling me close to his chest. Together, we slid down a slick and slimy stone chute, our bodies gliding effortlessly through the strange goo that coated its walls. With each passing moment, we descended deeper into the mysterious depths, the only sound echoing in our ears being the soft whoosh of our descent and the occasional splatter of the goo against our skin.

He gave me a look—half warning, half something else entirely—then stepped out, and I followed. The building smelled like mold and dust. The elevator didn’t work, so we took the stairs. Seven flights. By the time we got to the top, my legs were shaking. Jillian noticed. He didn’t say a word, but when I faltered on the last step, his hand reached out and gently gripped my elbow. He steadied me. And for the briefest moment, our eyes met—something soft in his, something unsure in mine. “You okay?” he asked.

It was a terrifying gamble that could either set me free or destroy me. I walked toward the edge of the flat gravel roof, only to stop dead in my tracks. Sitting on the ledge with his legs dangling out over the hundred-foot drop was Oreo. He was wearing an oversized, faded graphic hoodie that looked like it belonged to a middle schooler, his thick glasses pushed up on his nose, his fingers casually tossing a small rubik's cube into the air and catching it. I hesitated, shifting my weight on the gravel. I really didn't have the energy to trade insults with the estate's resident nerd-assassin, but going back downstairs wasn't an option.

So I jump. Gravity pulls me down. For a moment, I feel no fear because I wasn't even thinking. Until he shouts, "Nooo!" He stretches his grip, instead catching the air. He's getting distant from my view, meaning I'm closing in to the ground. I'm going to die. Wait! I'M GOING TO DIE! I scream. I thrash. I scream more. No, I don't want to die. Not this way. Not anymore!

We're both alpha's so survival such high dangerous fall ain't no surprise. Our survival has been certain and assured. So is the reason behind brother Rowan endeavouring into such life threatening risky fall. Our skins are both pretty tough to withstand the fall. It's oroff to the fall but not proof to it's pains. After all, they were able to scare Avi because they realised that they can't win over me. In the end, we both were pushed out by the last stages ghosts to the exit and we both found ourselves standing on the height and down there is the pool. Horror engulfs my body when I look down at the water from this height. As my life depends on Avi I cling to him burying my face into his chest which eventually vibrates as he laughs at me.
