Until The Last Day

Until The Last Day

Tears filled her eyes as she whispered against his chest, “Then burn it down. Burn the book. Please.” But when he reached for the pages, the blood hissed back like flames resisting him. The book laughed—a sharp, broken sound akin to paper tearing apart: “You can’t burn her story, fox; you can only read it…and reading means obeying.” Camela’s scream caught in her throat as she muttered, “It spoke…” Vincent bared his teeth in defiance as his fire flared even higher. “Then I’ll silence it,” he said fiercely. He slammed his hand down, his fire blazing but the pages didn’t burn. Instead, they bled harder and thicker, flooding the floor until it reached their ankles.

Just a bite

Just a bite

Our best bet would be if the sprinklers in response to the fire alarm would do their job properly . I was so concerned about the books catching fire that I didn't even process the fact that there was a fucking flame in her palm ! It wasn't burning her , it was just whirling around , bright red and orange colours playing with each other in fury . I should interrupt . I grab a book from the cart and stand a good 2 feet away from the men . I close one eye and position the book in front of me with my hand to make an aim . Perfect . I hurl the book as fast as I can and hear a groan in response .

Kidnapped By The LYCAN: My Mate Hates Me

Kidnapped By The LYCAN: My Mate Hates Me

“Gavyn was forcing Fabian’s hands by using every trick he could from the ancient book.” My brows knitted in confusion. “What ancient book are you talking about?” The hairs on the back of my neck rose. There is only one book that I knew Warlocks possessed, but Fabian is guarding it with his life. That book is dangerous. It was not called The Book of Damned for nothing. The Book of the Damned contains powerful dark magic spells and is considered the most potent record of dark magic. If it fell into the wrong hands, who knows what may happen?

The Lycan 's King Forsaken Mate.

The Lycan 's King Forsaken Mate.

That's the only thing that counts. Rhea balled her fingers into fists. "You don't have the authority to decide that.” Kael maintained her eyes for a long minute before sighing. He moved away slightly, but before she could get another word in, she stared in terror as he extended the book over the nearest torch. “No—” Instantly, the flames ignited, twisting the pages into blackened ash and licking along the parchment's edges. Rhea sprang forward, but Kael was quicker and easily pushed her back while he allowed the book to fall to the ground.

Fire and Ice (The alliance Book 1)

Fire and Ice (The alliance Book 1)

I left the car door open in my haste to make it closer to the ensuing battle, calling forward Thalia as I ran and letting flames engulf me and I pulled my focus and balled up fire in my hands ready for use. As soon as I had an opening I hurled a fireball at the side of a northern wolf, and the shock seemed to freeze the battle for a moment as all eyes turned towards me. Using the distraction to my advantage I quickly shot off three more flames hitting my target each time with a force that caused them to stagger back before the burns registered and their screams broke the shock. Only now all the norther efforts were focused on me, thirty sets of glowing blue eyes as teeth were barred and mout

you know it's really disheartening to purchase the chapters of a book and find it's not finished and has not had an update in months. I believe that as customers, we should be reimbursed if the author is no longer going to update the story and finish it. I am very disappointed.
Amy Glinski
Loving this story! Lots of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. The author did have some issues updating for a month or so, but we all have IRL issues. Glad she is back! Can’t wait to see where she will lead us next!

Phoenix in the Fire

Phoenix in the Fire

Gold would do to this, Gold wouldn't do that, Gold doesn't like this, Gold likes that. They kill a part of him even before he has the chance to try it. "But just like a phoenix, I am reborn again..." He rises from the ashes. The exact same thing people burn is where he'll come back. This time, stronger and better. This time, he rejects to care about what they think will suit him. This is his life. Another symbolism of fire is judgment. "I love my fans, I really do." He didn't prepare a speech. He's just speaking things that enter his mind. It doesn't have an order.

Indian Queen Of Roman Crown

Indian Queen Of Roman Crown

King Atticus spoke in his old yet affirmed voice, " before discussing about our strength, let's analyse our enemies's weakness. " Getting a nod from King Atticus, Aurelius started speaking, " as told by our spies, Britain has removed their army from Mare Nostrum and Corsica , Sardinia and Sicily were fast enough to bring their army at bay. Sicily defeated both of them using Greek Fire. " ( Greek Fire was believed to be developed by Syrian engineer and it was a combustible fluid which used to set fire above water. It used to burn after coming in contact with water)

Pulling the thing free, I got out from under the bed and set the cloth-covered object on top of it. Whatever it was, was thick and heavy. I peeled back the cloth to reveal a black, leather-bound book. Balric’s alarm and fear shot into me, jerking my hands away from it. “What is it? What's wrong?” I asked, pulling even farther away from the book. Suddenly I recognized it. “Dios Mio, this is… this is the book he used on Agron.” *Be careful with that thing, Desi. I wouldn’t even touch it if you don’t have to. God, I thought Caius had this book destroyed after what it did to Agron.*

Such a good story! The story flows well. Doesn’t go on too long describing a vibe or paragraphs of how one foliage growing on a home looks like (looking at you, Anne Rice). Seriously, though, “Jilguera” is a wonderful storyteller. Read this story. It’s so good.

Creative show not tell like of story. Unique and dosent have “breaks” or emotional slow parts. Love the diversity and embracing unconventional circumstances. Also it’s not to long or drawn out, it’s just the right length. A delightful afternoon read 10/10 thank you!

Teach me to desire

Teach me to desire

“This is the only thing I owned that was just for me.” Igor watched me, his expression softening completely. “Keep it. It is your armor now. It is the uniform of the free man.” Finally, I retrieved the book Leo had placed on the sofa earlier: the thick, dense edition of Thucydides’ History of the Peloponnesian War. I opened it to a random page, and the quiet scent of old paper and dust hit me.
