Phoenix Cry

Phoenix Cry

I took my book and I lit my index finger with fire and tried burning the book. "They got us there". Zale said and sighed getting his own book and tried to toss it in the ocean. I stopped my fire and stopped him. "Well, as we are back to square one, let's just try to gather information from the northern part," I said and smiled at him. I put my book inside my bag again. It was pointless anyway, to burn the book. It is the book of origin, a book written by the Gods, it is protected from being harmed by anything, by anyone.

The Devil's Broken Doll

The Devil's Broken Doll

A handful of volumes wore painstaking repairs where burnt pages had been reinforced with impossibly thin sheets of parchment. She drifted towards one such shelf almost unconsciously. The nearest book looked as though someone had snatched it from a fire moments before it was lost forever. Its spine had split, the edges of its pages darkened to deep brown, while careful stitches held the binding together with remarkable precision. She looked back at Arkael. "I thought..." Her words faltered. Apollo's voice echoed unexpectedly through her memory. I burnt every Emberborn history. Her fingers hovered just above the damaged cover. "I thought they were destroyed."

The Goddess's Forgotten Heir

The Goddess's Forgotten Heir

You are already bound. --- The morning lecture on ancient dynasties should have been dull. Instead, the goddess’s words echoed until Elara’s control slipped. Heat flickered through her veins. A pop—then a book burst into flame. Students screamed as sparks leapt across desks. Professor Marek stumbled back, knocking over his chair. “Miss Vale!” he barked, fear cracking his voice. “Extinguish it!” Elara clenched her fists. The fire dies down, leaving black spots on the floor before dying in a hiss of smoke.

Rise from Fire and Steel

Alanna hurriedly covered his mouth with her hand. “Don’t say such things.” Yet, I saw the look in her eyes. Jack grinned, still holding her hand. “Then I’ll take that as your agreement.” Alanna was about to reply when her phone suddenly rang. As soon as she answered, the anxious voice of my former teammate, Lionel Schumacher, came through. “Where are you? Lewis is in trouble! The driver who crashed into the sea during this rally? It’s him!”

SPARKING THE FIRE

SPARKING THE FIRE

"It's a good thing Jacob is gullible. He believed you were in Manhattan even though you didn't return to your aunt's house. But did you shut up the Langham family's driver? Don't let them get a chance to attack you." "Take it easy, I always know what to do before moving forward." At the other end, Ursula let out a long sigh. "You're always playing with fire, Celine. Aren't you ever afraid of getting burned?" "I was already burnt before I even started this, Sula." Celine leaned back comfortably on the chair she was sitting on. Her eyes gazed at the road that seemed to be deserted. The driver who drove her chose to enter the freeway in order to quickly arrive at the place Celine wanted to go.

They nodded, looking back at me"Sure. What do you want me to do?" I reached down to my pocket and took out a small bottle that contained a water-like substance. I hold it between my thumb and pointy finger as I showed it to the person in front of me "Do you know what's this?"I asked her "No. What is it?" "Inside this bottle is something called Hydrochloric acid. It is a very corrosive acid. One drop from it ,it burns you horribly and not only the skin, wherever it drops it burns"I explained to her"So what you are going to do. I'm going to give it to you....it is the Haldi ceremony tomorrow night, am I right?"

The Almighty Dragon General

James reached out and took the book. The moment he touched it, the white light from the ancient book suddenly dimmed and left only an ordinary-looking ancient book. On the ancient book’s cover were a few ancient scriptures—Flame Art's Three Fire Transformations. Although the scriptures were quite antiquated, James was able to recognize them. Wotan, who had accompanied him, saw the book in his hand. He sucked in a sharp breath after reading the ancient scriptures on the cover. Wotan’s expression indicated that he definitely knew what the Flame Art’s Three Fire Transformations were.

This end is terrible. I strongly believe there is a volume 2 or part 2. I refuse to be left hanging and thinking of a million ways the whole thing played out. Patiently waiting for volume 2............

The Fire That Chose Me

The Fire That Chose Me

“Stay behind me.” “No,” Evelynn said, her voice trembling but fierce. “We do this together.” The fire within her answered, spilling heat across her skin, dancing at her fingertips. The creature tilted its head, as if curious, then snarled, a sound that shook the trees. It lunged. The world blurred. Evelynn thrust her hands forward, fire bursting from her palms in a sudden blaze. The creature shrieked, stumbling back, its body smoking where the flames touched. But it didn’t fall—it regrouped, circling them with unnatural speed.
