“Well yeah, that’s what the news and stuff claims, but have you seen the sky?” There was a window behind where Singto was seated with heavy tan curtains shutting out the outside. Krist went up to open it to show what he was talking about. Lo and behold, the clouds were shutting out all the light and warmth from the sound. Even the shade of the clouds gave them an ominous feeling. It was dark gray and there was a light wind making the outside look like a perfect scene for a horror movie.

Why?" the grandson inquired with round eyes even though his eyelids were heavy. “The black clouds will disappear after a rain, while I … no matter how many tears I shed, my sadness never fades. I was confused. The black ones did not move around in thick groups, it looked more like strings of it were snaking and stretching in the sky, as if searching…

Chapter 19 The third day arrived with no sunrise worth mentioning. Clouds hung low over the peaks and turned the morning light a dull, heavy gray. The mist along the lower ridges had climbed higher during the night. It now sat only a short distance beyond the outer markers Drake had set. Close enough to see. Close enough to feel like a held breath.

Outside, I notice the grey clouds that are moving in overhead. What started out as a beautiful, bright, sunny day is quickly turning cold, windy and threatening to rain, but nothing could dampen my spirits, I'm having the most wonderful birthday, even if the weather doesn't want to co-operate.

Outside, there's rain coming down and it creates a grey sky, but leaves the trees and foliage below to remain green and healthy. The building of CCMS is a little grey by nature, a light grey, but today it's very dark. Glancing outside has me wonder if the rain will stop today, since it's been continuous for a few days now.
