"Are you sure about this?" Sylvia smiled at her boss- well ex-boss considering she had just submitted her resignation letter. "Yes," she replied. Her boss, a Scottish man with beady eyes and red hair scattered sparsely across his bald head, dropped her resignation letter to the table and clasped his hands. "If you need time off to grieve, I can give you that Sylvia. It's been a week since your Da died and I know it's hard. I can remember when I lost mine too. I was a wee lad, y'know?"

Chasing the Huntress

Chasing the Huntress

It seemed too much of a coincidence to ignore. Once I parked my car, I made my way into the DMV and scanned the area for Doris. She was a familiar face here, the oldest employee by far, and well past her retirement age. Despite this, she refused to retire and clung to her job as if it were a lifeline. Her friends had died soon after they retired, and Doris was convinced that if she stopped working, she would soon follow their fate. It was a sobering thought—all those years of hard work and sacrifice, only to end up sick or diseased in retirement. She was determined to have the last laugh.

The Last Piece of my Soul

The Last Piece of my Soul

Everything disappeared from my sight, leaving only blinding white light, which scorched my eyes. ‘’You are being punished for playing with the power which should never be in human hands. Your hun* souls will be cursed, and you won’t be able to find peace. You will be cursed to repeat your miserable life while the other parts of your soul die in great misfortune unable to find happiness both in life and death.’’ The dread coming from these words was enough to make me forget the horrible pain. This sounded so familiar but, at the same time, so strange. I didn’t have time to think, though. The pain slowly disappeared together with the lighting, and somebody’s voice was floating in my mind.

I like it a lot. I’ve always liked a novel where our MC gets a second chance at life and is not completely OP. She’s completely traumatised from her first life but she’s still trying to survive. You write well and I can’t wait to read more

Chapter 114 Cleo I've come to the conclusion that ; "acceptance isn't the end of the grieving process . It is the ones who are living, a and left behind; that have to deal with the fact that they have lost something that cannot be replaced ,and they want it back . Just when I'm dealing with my brother in law's suicide , that was investigated and ruled as a suicide... I have to deal with losing my third child with my husband .

Soul Therapy Clinic

Once there was an angel who came to be with me, but then left me and returned to a sunny and windy paradise, full of his songs and lyrics. His grave is laid out simply at the edge of the cemetery. On the beer there is a picture of him, his smile so peaceful. It was a rare moment in his life when he actually smiled. The photo I took for him that day, didn't expect it to be used today for this purpose. This son has spent most of his life mourning for others, fulfilling for others. If you have made such a choice, please leave with peace of mind, I will do it for you. From now on, I will keep my regrets for you alive.
