His face was half-covered in bone—like a mask welded to his skin—and behind him surged a new army. Not wolves. Not even monsters. Abominations. These corpses were thoroughly shrunken, as though every last drop of water, blood and whatever fluid in them were sucked out. The once serene forest now exuded an eerie aura, its air thick with a repugnant odor that clung to the surroundings. Once teeming with vibrant life, the forest now wore a somber cloak as the severed heads of the beastmen were displayed, casting a shadow over the once verdant landscape. The grotesque expressions etched on these decapitated heads only intensified the spine-chilling atmosphere, leaving no room for reverence or decency. Kriff's eyes widened in disbelief as he gazed upon the young man before him. Creed felt disgusted just from the glimpse of their hideous appearance. The horde moved with no sense of direction or purpose. They kept crushing and stomping over one another mercilessly. The ground was swarming with mud, blood, and organs. Not only that, but some of them are also devouring and gorging on each other's flesh. An indiscriminate chaos was bubbling among the horde. "Argh! Crap… " Creed muttered with a disgusted squint, "Ghouls!! so many of them…"

Its skin was shriveled, like a dried riverbed, with festering patches that exposed blackish-brown muscle beneath. The abdomen was bloated with gas, stretched tight as if ready to burst. The face was badly deformed, its features twisted. One corner of the mouth skewed, and the half-open eyes, with clouded pupils, stared fixedly at the ceiling. A faint stench of decay drifted from the body, more pungent than formalin. It carried an unmistakable odor of rot.

Its tiny head was way out of proportion with the rest of its body. Unlike normal zombies, this one's face was disturbingly bloated. Its skin hung in heavy folds, and one tiny eye was nearly swallowed by fat while the other bulged grotesquely outward. It looked like a giant chocolate sphere jammed into a mound of flesh, ready to pop out at any second. Its three chins merged into its neck, the fat forming a pyramid-like mass that covered its entire body. But the worst part wasn't the layers of sagging meat—it was what crawled between them.

Almost Gregor’s body twists unnaturally as the shift starts, his bones cracking loudly, echoing through the room. His hands contort, claws sprouting unevenly, but his fingers remain mostly human.
