Its softness against my skin made me temporarily forget that I wasn't wearing a skin mask and my face was slightly ruined. “Fucking vixen,” I cursed at the dead fox when I remembered. I got the fur that I wanted. And I could just leave but I couldn't bring myself to depart without giving the fox a proper burial. I gently set the fur aside and started to dig a shallow grave. Once the hole was ready, I carefully lifted the body and laid her to rest. As I was about to grab the fur and leave, a menacing growl, resembling a hellwolf's penetrated my ears.

“Don’t worry, you’re safe. Just don’t make a fucking display of this.” Of course she wasn’t going to listen. I shot my head up and my jaw broke open when I saw the highest ever leap taken by the red wolf, his powerful growl cutting through the gusty winds and the branches of the trees. No werewolf can pounce so high to shadow the Moon Goddess for a second and render the sky dark black. This red wolf could not be a werewolf. With how rough he was descending from the sky made my breath hither thither.

He opened his mouth, and from the very depths of his tiny chest, he unleashed a sound that shattered the festive atmosphere of the entire town square. It was a deep, terrifying, double-toned sonic vibration. It wasn't a standard pup whine, and it wasn't a common timber-wolf bark. But the face of the wolf made her think of Miko Volta's face and the stunning impact jolted her out of the kiss. "My god!" Jamie pulled her mouth away but Mike still held her head in his grasp. "What?" His voice sounded almost like a growl.
